Rather than share my opinion about Cransh, I will describe my experience with them and let the reader decide whether or not they want to patronize this business. As a car buyer, I was attracted to Cransh based on the tremendous inspection and mechanic service they advertise as part of most vehicles on their lot. I browsed their website for a couple of weeks and noticed virtually every car had valuable service performed as part of getting the vehicle ready for sale. In fact, they often included pictures of the empty boxes of the parts that were installed on a particular vehicle. Based on this, I decided to visit their dealership in person. I looked at a few vehicles and sure enough the empty boxes of the parts they had installed were in the trunks. I was not able to locate a vehicle that day; however, the salesman (Miguel) shared his contact information with me. Over the course of a few weeks, I stayed in contact with Miguel, and he was able to locate a vehicle at auction that met my specifications. As part of my visit to view the vehicle and make my purchase decision, the salesman informed me that Cransh had performed valuable mechanic service to prepare the vehicle for sale, which would be “very expensive” if performed elsewhere. Also, the inside of the vehicle had more than 20 empty parts boxes as proof that the valuable service had been performed. Based on this, and Cransh’s reputation, I was able to reconcile paying a price higher than my personal expectation. Prior to moving forward with the purchase, the salesman (Miguel) graciously allowed me to view underneath the vehicle using a hydraulic lift and also speak to the mechanic that performed the service. I asked the mechanic to show me some of the new parts that were installed, and I even called specific attention to ones based on the empty parts boxes that I noted, in an effort to learn more about the vehicle I was about to purchase. As part of this process, the mechanic was very honest and called attention to several parts that were not actually replaced/installed despite having an empty box for each part in the car. I inquired about all of the empty parts boxes in the back of the vehicle and was told that those were for another vehicle and not the one I was about to purchase. At this point, the general manager was summoned, and he was very courteous and truly sought to understand my disappointment after feeling misled. He assured me that the situation was an honest mistake by the employees that are responsible for putting the parts boxes in the car; however, he could not offer an explanation for why the salesman, Miguel, oversold the amount of service that was actually done. Based on this, I informed him that I could no longer pay the price that was being asked because their asking price contemplated valuable service beyond what was actually performed. I confirmed with the general manager that Cransh only performed a brake job, repainted the front bumper, changed the spark plugs, the air filter, and a few other minor parts, which represented a fraction (less than 50%) of the value of what I was told had been performed in the way of mechanic service (i.e. new water pump, new engine mount, new serpentine belt, gasket replacement – all of which had an empty part box in the car). The general manager then consulted with the owner based on my request for a revised price. The general manager returned and offered to take $200 (approximately 2% of the sale price) off the price of the vehicle. I declined this offer and was in the process of communicating my desired offer with the general manager when the salesman, Miguel, interrupted the conversation and stated that I was “making a scene” inferring that I had no basis to be disappointed in my experience at Cransh. The salesman, Miguel, also reinforced that the vehicle would easily be sold to another buyer at the original asking price. Once I heard that, I shook the general manager’s hand to express my appreciation to him for attempting to resolve the situation and then walked out.

May 2016 purchased a 2005 Honda Element. This is the second vehicle that as a family we have purchased from Cransh Auto. I had the pleasure of working with Miguel. I am a looker. I am one of those people who just cannot make up her mind. I think. I think. And then I think a little bit longer. Miguel was patient with my indecision. He was understanding of my hesitancy in making a significant purchase (did I mention that I am also cheap on top of all the other quirks he had to deal with?) After a couple of weeks of searching for cars here and there, online and offline, and going back and forth to Cransh I finally reconciled with myself that I needed to make a decision. Lo and behold there was the Element. Small enough that I did not feel like I was driving above everyone and large enough that I can haul garage sale finds with ease. Not to mention easy to get in and out of and at my grand old age of 52 this is a check in the plus column. Fast forward to September 2016 and I find myself facing a "smallish" issue with the car. I drive to Cransh and Miguel, not only greets me immediately, he remembers me. I pop the hood and all the while he is inspecting the engine he is listening to my concerns. Then the owner of Cransh comes over to us and he also listens to me and assures me that they will do right by me. Buying a used car is always a gamble at best and things are going to break down. But they listened to me.....not just that they heard me, they LISTENED to me. I am happy to report that they made me an offer on the repair that was very fair and to be honest I was taken aback. We all know the horror stories of buying a car and some of us have actually lived those horror stories. I can state with a clear conscience that my experience with Cransh Auto, Miguel and the entire staff has been nothing other than positive. If you are looking for a quality used car, and an easy dealer to work with then visit Cransh Auto!

Went Saturday 2/14/15 and bought 2006 Honda CRV for wife for 7000. Drove 40 miles to deal with them based on great reviews and reputation. Car only had one key and had to pay 140.00 for a spare at nearby Honda dealer. On the way home car violently shudders when going around 40 mph at 1500 rpm. It has done it several times since. Research on Honda forums suggests at best its a bad torque converter and at worst its a bad transmission. So I"m looking at another 2000.00 at least to fix. I have emailed them and will call but Im not hopeful. As is and I didnt purchase the extended warranty from them. I find it hard to believe they were completely unaware after having serviced it as they claim. I understand a used car will have some issues but expected more for 7000.00 than a car with a bad transmission. If this gets resolved, and they are willing to help me I will update. Week later after I emailed they quickly responded. Rick who sold us the car was helpful and even followed up when I couldnt bring the car in for them to look at it. They went the extra mile, picked it up fixed it free of charge even though they didnt have to and brought it back. They even found another issue with a worn motor mount and have offered to fix for just parts, no labor. I must say Im impressed and appreciate the effort they have put in. I will definitely recommend them just be sure to check the car you want out thoroughly. It is used and while they do fix the cars up with tune up brakes etc., they may not catch everything.
