On January 17, after hoarding a birthday gift card for several months, I visited this store. I have been ill for several months and was looking forward to treating myself to a day out and using my gift card. One of the things I needed was a sewing machine foot. I wandered around the fabric section for quite some time looking for this item. I stood over at the sewing machines looking at the machines and debated purchasing one (not with gift card) as there was a good sale going on and I have been looking for an upgrade.The woman working in that section of the store never as much as looked up while I was standing there. As I walked off, another woman approached and was immediately offered assistance. Lost sale. I would never buy a machine from there now. I wandered around some more and observed the employees all over the store being very task oriented or cell phone oriented, not customer service oriented. After wandering around for 45 minutes,I approached one young lady and she looked at me then turned her back. At this point, I was so exhausted and frustrated I was almost in tears, but kept trying to find things to use up my gift card. I went back to the fabric section and spotted the sewing machine foot I was looking for and grabbed it.It was marked 24.99 which I thought was ridiculous, but I just wanted out of the store so I headed up front. The cashier was very nice and helpful.Unfortunately, she advised the sewing machine foot had to be purchased in the fabric section. I asked if the gift card would work back there and she said it should. So.... I headed back there and the original sales person had been joined by someone else and they were busily chatting. The 2nd woman stood up to ring my purchase. Then I was informed that gift cards do not work back there because it is separate from Joann. (I get this concept, but for Petes sake, put a large sign up saying this). At this point, I was beyond irritated, in a great deal of pain, exhausted, and gave up.There was no way I was using my money to purchase from these people. However, I still needed to use my gift card.I ordered several things online, I ordered 4 items(Note: the 24.99 sewing machine was only 4.99 online, so the "separate" Bernina company is a ripoff) and have only received 2 as of 2/13. On January 27, I contacted online customer service l to ask about the 2 missing items, as the tracking number indicated they were delivered. On January 29, I received a response from Michelle Wright advising that lost package claim was started. She explained that the items were in 2 different boxes. On February 7, I had not heard anything, so I responded to the same ticket number to ask about the lost package claim. My automated response indicated the matter was resolved and the ticket would be reopened. As of today, February 13, I have heard nothing. As far as I am concerned, this company (the store and online experience) has the worst service and lack of care I have experienced in awhile. Between Joann and FedEx, I feel like my daughters hard earned money was stolen, not to mention the disappointment that a thoughtful gift has generated.

Im not a tailor but my cousin had asked me to buy her a swing paytern book or sth like that. I didnt have any ideas about swing so i terid to ask one of the staffs yo see if i can find anything in there or not! I asked one who was walking somewhere, She talked with me about 2-3 words but she even didnt try to stop and listen to my whole question, just said no Im sry, and left me when i was in middle of my conversation !! It was So rude!!!! Even if a customer is not very well in English-speaking ,shes not deserve misbehaving :( After that i couldnt find anyone else to get help but at the end i asked the cashier to help me and she did! It was my fist time in this store but the staffs attitudes made me really disappointed. Note: Regardless of staffs behaviors but the store was very well organized , clean and everything you can find everything u need about crafting, swing and much more in there.

Store was well maintained. The fabric section was large and had anything you could want. We were looking for quilting supplies and patterns, but didnt find quite as large of a selection as we were hoping for. Also didnt have much in the way of child crafts. Had some cute selection of knomes stuff. And 50% off big styrofoam planes, the kinds that are really hard to find, but a whole lot of fun for our three year-old. Bought 3 planes and a book of quilting patterns.

The Sewing Center staff went above and beyond to correct a problem with some software I purchased last week. One employee, Dottie, was even willing to take some of her own time after work to help me. This wonderful customer service happened over Independence day weekend. Im sure they were short staffed when I called. They turned me from a frustrated customer into a loyal lifelong one.

We stopped by to get a couple prints framed since the nearby Michaels is now closed. We rang the bell and then waited for 10 minutes or so. The lady who then showed up to help us was quite rude. Her name was Jesse I think and she was a manager. She actually snapped at us that she didnt know what a clip frame was. We wont be going back.

I dont know too much about fabrics. My wife is always looking for good deals. She used an online coupon to get a 50% discount. Its a very clean place and everything is organized.

Prices are out the box. They dont carry good quality costume fabric. I almost left because of the obnoxious piped in music blaring throughout the store.
