I had a HORRIBLE experience at this location today. I had two pairs of shoes and a box of crayons in my basket with my 16 month old strapped in and my 4 year old walking along side. My 4 year old said she needed to use the restroom so we proceeded in that direction. When I got to the restroom, I pulled out my 16 month old and walked in with my 4 year old to check if there were seat covers (some dont care, but I do not like my child sitting bare bottom on a public restroom...not even at church). There were dispensers in every stall, but no seat covers in them. I knew then that I would have to line the seat for my 4year old but I would need to place my 16month old back in the basket so as to have two free hands. I went back to the hallway to get my basket to use for my 16month old, when a manager (I think) asked if I had shoes in the basket. I replied "yes, I do." She then said "oh I cant let you take those in there". I stated that I just needed somewhere to put my 16month old. She said that I could take the basket in but she would have to take my items to the service desk. I asked her if they had seat covers, and she said "no, sorry." I pushed in the basket, strapped in my baby, helped my 4 year old, and left the bathroom as quickly as possible.I headed to the service counter, where two clerks were on their registers with the same "bathroom manager" between the two of them helping them with transactions. Every now and then (while I waited) this manager would look at me and turn her head. It was quite strange. When it was my turn, I walked up to the counter and told the clerk that I had two pairs of shoes and crayons. The manager then said, "Oh if I had known those were your things, I would have brought them to you." I was so caught off guard by the statement that all I could say was "really???, you really did not know that was me??" She said "no, Im sorry." Now, it had only been 5 minutes since she grabbed my items from basket...I guess because she was afraid that I would steal them. Also, I was the ONLY African-American shopper in the store and was wearing a purple head wrap. She walked away. I allowed the clerk to ring me up, and asked for the manager to come back. I told her that I was offended firstly because she asked for my 3 items, when I was only trying to help my 4 yr old use the bathroom, and secondly because she did not even recognize that I was the person she took the items from. In her mind, she was probably proud of herself for stopping a possible theft, instead of being concerned about returning the 3 items back to her customer. I will leave it to the readers of this post to decide if she was just overworked and not paying attention, or if she was actually participating in some very real "ethnic labeling". She told me she would tell the store manager that they needed to order toilet seat covers. I told her that sounds good, but the thing I am really concerned with is that she did not find it important enough to notice that the same customer patiently waiting in line (with an empty basket) was the same customer that she had taken items from at the bathroom. She gave me some fluff about it being so many people in the store and she did not recognize me and it was just store policy to take my items. But I want anyone reading this review to put yourself in her position. If you had just taken 3 items from a customer at the restroom with a basket who was trying to help her child use the restroom, wouldnt you be wondering where that customer was so they could pay for the items you just took? Especially if had JUST happened? Even better, imagine that the customer is a black woman with a purple head wrap; do you think you would remember that? So, she did not recognize that I was the one she had snatched items from? Maybe customer service/manager is not for her. If you do not believe in discrimination, racism, prejudice, and/or labeling, then you will not understand this post.

Going to this store was the worst mistake I could have ever made. My husband, mother-in-law, and I were shopping for a specific stroller and we knew that Babies "R" Us had it. We went in and found the one we wanted with no price tag, so we tried to find help. Needless to say, we stood there for 45 minutes playing hide & go seek and the only person we could find was the cashier. By this point I am sweating since the store apparently has no air conditioner. I am hungry, my back is hurting, and my feet are starting to swell. Not a good combination for a 7 month pregnant women. Finally, I asked her to page someone for the strollers. I go back and wait another 10-15 minutes and then decide it was no longer worth the wait. As I was walking out, my mother-in-law was getting a manager. Let me just tell you that Trish (the manager) is a complete waste of space. By the time I was angry enough to get a manager, 5 more employees decided to come out of hiding (including Trish). As long as Trish is the manager at the store, the employees are going to continue to look miserable, the store is going to continue to look trashed, and I am not going to shop there. In the end, the day that should have been filled with excitement and joy was a disaster. Thank you so much Trish, you are a true example of how a manager shouldnt act. In the end, we went to Walmart and was able to find the same type of stroller with excellent reviews and it was $130.00 cheaper than the stroller at Babies "R" Us. The only reason this store gets 1 star is so I can post a review. Trust me, it deserves negative stars.

If I could give this store negative stars, I would. With that being said, my first trip here to create my registry was awesome. However, when I came back to purchase my furniture, I was not even greeted and had to literally search for someone to order my furniture. I complained about them being understaffed and totally unprofessional and the lady said "Its corporates fault. Not ours." Despite all of the issues I was having, I decided to let it roll off my back. I stat ordering my furniture and the lady who was filling out all of my information literally left the desk to help someone else (even though there was another team member standing right beside her) and left my order to be completed by a lady who couldnt even spell my name correctly. I ordered a crib, double dresser, changing station and a whole comforter set and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM WAS ORDERED SEPERATELY. I know youre thinking its not a big deal, and its not until you go to PAY for the things you have ordered and have to make a separate transaction for each one. The only reason I will EVER return to this store is to finish my registry (which by the way is STILL missing things that I have ALREADY PURCHASED) and after that, I AM DONE WITH THIS BABIES R US!!!!! OH, did I mention that there was a gentleman there looking for his crib that was ordered 3 months before and it was no where to be found. HIS BABY HAD ALREADY ARRIVED AND HAD NO CRIB!
