This evening i went to my local Kroger store. I typically go to glenbrook but realized this location was closer.I have been to this location the past two times i have come grocery shopping. I have had the same cashier the past two times i have come shopping. Our cashier was Will. we got in line and there was a lady in front of us. As we waited patiently he finally finished her transaction. we approached Will, as we were next in line. As we approached him we did not get a Hi how are you? or even a do you have your Kroger Plus Card with you? he just started scanning my items. while he was scanning my items the lady who he just previous checked out came up to Will and said that she did not see where he had scanned her coupon she had given him. he proceeded to tell her that he scanned it and its on there then snatched the receipt out of her hand. he stopped scanning my items to look at the receipt. he did not say to us, do you mind if i help this lady or even maam do you mind waiting til im done with these customers. but he did not do that. he just ignored us and helped her. he looked over her receipt and said that he knows he scanned it. she asked for her coupon back and she said she will take it to customer service and have them fix it. he told her I cant give it back to because its locked in the drawer. then turned his back and left the lady standing there. a moment later he called over the Floor Supervisor,Alex, over to help her and he took her to customer service. once he finally finished scanning my items he hit the total button then the EFT button. he then walked away and to help bag and chit chat with fellow employees. i swiped my card and finished my transaction. he then came and handed me my receipt with out saying have a good night or even you have ___fuel points . then my friend had a few items she needed to purchases and she had the same horrible experience, no interaction, no total given and not giving any kind of customer service. Now: i am a previous employee of Kroger for 4+ years and i found a few things wrong with this! 1. Every customer should be greeted with Hi how are you and do you have your Kroger Plus Card with you? 2.Every customer should fell like that the whole time the transaction is going on that its all about them. 3.When the previous customer approached him he should have asked her to wait a moment and he will help her momentarily or call the Floor Supervisor over sooner. 4.He lied to the customer when he said that he could not get that coupon out for her... because i know that all coupons drawers have a key to open those drawers for that reason or to clean the drawer out to sort and send back. 5. I should have been told a total or should have gotten a have a great evening. On an ending note i know that Kroger is customer service based. so this will be the last time i return to this location i will go out of my way to fund the next closest Kroger.

I went into the Goodlettsville Kroger on the evening of 8/27/2017. And the few times that I am forced to go into this store when Publix is closed this store is understaffed, has no groceries on the shelf ever, the staff is very rude that they do have, the store is dirty, the overall shopping experience is very unpleasant. So when I went in this night I had 14 items on my list and 12 of those items were completely out of stock again. I went to the customer service desk 3 times and requested a manager then finally after 30 minutes Mr. Myers (store manager) finally came to help me and was not apologetic and was very unpleasant. I asked him how this location does business when they never have anything on the shelf and he of course had no response. He pulled two employees to go to the back to look for two of the items that I absolutely needed for the following day and that took another 30 minutes and SURPRISE they didnt have either item and guess what...one of the items was a major sale item. So by the time I had spent an hour trying to get those two items I just threw the towel in on the rest. I went through the check out lane with the items that I did have and when I got home to my SURPRISE again the $15.99 dog food that I purchased was not in my grocery bags. I do not have the energy to go to the store to the incompitant people that are on staff there and ask for my dog food. Im so over this location and the unprofessional antics there. Kroger Co. should be ashamed to have a store open thats in this condition. I have been a district manager for 14 high volume retail locations for 23 years and I have never allowed any of my locations to conduct business in this manner. I hope someone steps in and gets this location up to par. Thank You

Visiting family in town and stopped by to pick up a few items, one being a bottle of wine for dinner. 5pm on a weekday, place is busy, no problem, understandable wait in line. Once it was my turn, the cashier had to ask for a supervisor because he was not 21, again no problem. Supervisor came over, checked my ID (FYI, Im 50) and I proceeded to use my MasterCard to complete the sale. When the screen asked for a PIN number, I simply asked the cashier whether I push red or green? The supervisor that was still there said "You must have a PIN number to use a MasterCard Debit card", I explained to her that it gets ran as a credit card and that I have NEVER ran it as a debit nor do I have a PIN number (I have been with the same bank for over 25 years and used this MasterCard several places around the US). She replied in a agitated tone "Yes, you do, you must have a PIN number or we cant take your card thats just the way our system works!" At this point, other customers are looking at me because I am holding them up getting out of there, this supervisor isnt willing to listen to me or accept the fact that my card gets ran as a credit and NOT A DEBIT, and I am about ready to explode - I left everything sitting there and walked out. Nice beautiful store, great selection and location - I WILL NEVER BE BACK!!

I am usually happy overall with kroger but today I went to the deli with my two year old. I am teaching her how to socialize with people, when I approached the counter Noone said hello, Noone smiled. There were three people there. That models to customers that were not wanted. I felt like we were bothersome and should have never approached the deli to begin with. The guy that made our plate seemed over worked or just having a bad day. I said thank you twice and not one time did he even look me in the eye and said youre welcome or anything. We went on our way and attempted to pay. Different guy at the register, same experience. No hello, no smile. I said, "he must be having a bad day." No response from the person who checked us out. I thanked him but again we didnt receive anything back. Ive worked in restaurants and hotels. This is not welcoming and makes me not want to return back. There are other people that work there that smile and acknowledge the consumers, I wish I knew their names.
