My boyfriend and I bought a new couch and loveseat set here March 6th. (We have purchased furniture here in the past with no issue at all.)We knew one of the guys that worked there and he was very helpful and got us a great deal, so we were even more excited to have new furniture. Heres where the issues start. We had to have it delivered. (Which, by reading the reviews seems to be everyones issue.) We were told it would likely be delivered the next day, Monday the 7th, but if not it would definitely be delivered by Tuesday the 8th. I was fine with this. Monday we get a call and we are told that the couch can be delivered, but there was some damage to the loveseat so they are ordering a new one and it will be delivered the next week at no additional delivery charge, which is fine. As Monday is coming to a close, we havent gotten a call and no couches, so we call to check the status and they tell us it will be delivered the next day. Again, not an issue, because we were told this would be a possibility. So Tuesday it reached around 3pm. No call, so we call again to check the status. They tell us its still being delivered today and we should receive a call soon. At 6pm we called again to check the status and they tell us the same thing. (I am already irritated at this point because they told us while we were in the store on the 6th that we would get a call an hour before they got to the house. If its 6pm then they wouldnt get there until 7pm, which is a little late in my opinion.) So.... after all this about an hour and a half later we get a call to let us know that the delivery drivers had to deal with an angry customer (which isnt a shock to me at this point) and that they quit. After expressing our irritation with this (at this point still trying to be polite because they cant control their employees quitting) the guy we know gives us a call back and says he will bring the couch to us. We were very appreciative of this after all the complications. Now about the loveseat. We called on the 13th, a week after our purchase, to check on the status of the loveseat. They tell us it is in, and it will be delivered the next day, Monday the 14th. Monday we get a call around 5pm and are told it wont be delivered that day and that it will be the next day. I was OK with this because they called and let me know. (They also were having ONLY the guy we know call us at this point, which I am guessing they thought would "soften the impact" so to speak.) Anyways, we got a call again at 8:30 and he tells us that the delivery guys just got back to the store and that they are going to load up and should be at our house in about 30 minutes, which is about how far away we live. (Again, I am not at all thrilled about the time of the delivery, but after waiting I just wanted all this to be over.) I waited 45 minutes and went to lay down. They finally got to our house at 9:40 (an hour and 10 minutes after we were called, and 40 minutes later than we were told they would be there). Never EVER again will we purchase ANYHTING or recommend ANYONE to shop here. Before, sure we would have. Our last buying experience was great, and dealing with the associates while you are purchasing is fine. But after this... No. Please tell me in what world someone thinks its OK to deliver furniture to someones house at 9:40 pm ON A MONDAY NIGHT. This is absolutely NOT acceptable. I dont want to hear the BS about how its tax season and you are backed up. If its this much of a problem, WHICH CLEARLY IT IS BY THE AMOUND OF 1 STAR REVIEWS, then you need to listen to what your customers are telling you and come up with a solution. Like hire more delivery guys. WOW, who would have thought of that??? Bottom line...Dont waste your time or money here. Go buy something of better quality somewhere else. Youll definitely get better service anywhere else but here.

On January 29th we purchased a 5-piece dinning table with 4 chairs for a Super Bowl party we were hosting. We put the table together on the 4th of February and the very first time I sat on the chair it snapped (just for reference Im 5 ft 7 in and weigh less than 130 lbs). My husband immediately called the store and reported the problem, and they said theyd call us back. Since they didnt call us in a couple of days I emailed the store a picture of the broken chair, and they responded the same day "We can try and see if the Manufacture warranty will cover the damage. We will try and process a claim and try and get credit so we can get a new chair". So we courteously waited. On March 3rd, two weeks after we emailed them, I message them again asking for updates, and their response was "yes you can come up to the store and we can swap that out", so we drove half and hour to their store, set there for another 45 minutes while they were "looking for the chair" (seemed more like they were just looking for new customers, they already got our money so we dont really matter anymore), then finally they came to say the chair was actually not delivered. So we wasted a good chunk of two hours of our weekend for nothing because of their lack of organization and care for customers. They promised they would deliver the new chair to our house since we had to drive there for no reason. They even updated our address on their system. Needless to say they just said that to get us out of the store. I guess our upset faces was not helping their business. Another 20 days passed by without an answer, so we messaged them again only to hear their standard ~~I apologize, we were waiting on the item to come~~. I responded with the account information they asked for and never heard from them again until I messaged them again today. My husband contacted upper management about returning and they said we cannot return it now because its been to long. Well, it certainly isnt our fault its been too long. We contacted the store within days reporting the defective item. This has been the most nerve wrecking experience. I wish I could go back and stop myself from buying anything from this company, but since I cannot do that I will reach out to as many people as I can to stop them from doing the same mistake I did. DO NOT SHOP HERE, THE DISCOUNT ISNT WORTH THE TROUBLE. ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY THEY COULD NOT CARE LESS ABOUT YOU.

I will NEVER do business with this company again, 3 years ago I purchased a Full side bedroom set and a Full size mattress set. The furniture materials were very cheap and it didnt hold up, I had to toss it to the trash last year. The mattress was wonderful, no complaints. A few months ago I purchased a King size bed frame Sleigh Bed. Needless to say the bed frame was unable to hold someone who weighed 260 pounds. The King size sleigh bed fell apart. I made some bad choices dealing with this company, giving the quality of their bedroom furniture. The last straw: I was in need a new living room set. I went and looked at American Freight selections. I found 3 piece sectional for $1999.99 w / ottoman for $299.99. I paid cash total $2517.00, I was told my furniture would be delivered the next week. A week pasted, no furniture ,no call. I called American Freight spoke with management , I was told a delivery would be the following week. Needless to say I called every week for the last month/ 30 days and still no living room set. I was finally told its on Back Order and they cant get it. The model that was on the store floor was even gone, Management said " they gave that to another customer that had been waiting on the same set for 2 months". I was told to come to the store to look around for something else or I can have my money back. I went and looked, and I didnt like anything. I requested my money back and Management says " I have to wait an additional 2 weeks to receive a corporate check" . IM PISSED because the Management who was handling my complaint, was being smart a** and trying to be slick, telling me if your going to wait 2 weeks for your refund check you can wait until we get this living room set in for you, we can get it from the Nashville store next Friday, but at first they said it was on backorder, but when I want a refund after 30 days, a living room set is going to magically appear? I said, No I want my refund ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel like I was mistreated and no one ever reached out to me and explained the delays in delivery, I had to make all the calls and do all the foot work myself to American Freight. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH AMERICAN FREIGHT AGAIN, I WANT MY REFUND AND I SHOULDNT HAVE TO WAIT 2 WEEKS, I HAVE ALREADY WAITED A MONTH WITH NO FURNITURE!!!!!!!!!! GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!
