I had a like-hate experience with this Ulta Beauty store yesterday. I was referred to Sydney, a hair stylist at this Ulta Beauty location, and booked an appointment for Sunday at 11:00 AM. I received a call Sunday morning informing me that my appointment was cancelled due to Sydney being sent home sick. Shortly after, I received another call from Ulta informing me that they called in another stylist because they felt bad for having to cancel my appointment. I do not usually allow any stylist to touch my hair unless I have seen some sort of portfolio or photos of their work so I can determine if they are capable to do what I ask. I am leaving to go on vacation Tuesday and I am in my sisters wedding in two weeks; Therefore, I decided to go to my appointment anyway. I will not mention the stylists name that I was assigned as, my upcoming complaint is targeted more towards the management. I came in to the "salon" with long bleach blonde hair and grown out brown roots. When I originally booked my appointment, I explained that I wanted my hair dyed brown, my ends to be left blonde (ombre), and a soft balyage. I showed "her" a few photos of what I was looking for and she assured me that she knew what she was doing and is going to give me what I was expecting. After sitting in the chair for 3 hours (11:00 AM - 2:00 PM), I viewed the final product of my new look and was more than disappointed. The ONLY thing I was happy with was the deep condition. The brown dye in my hair did not come down far enough; therefore, I did not get much of an ombre effect, there was brown dye that touched to my blonde hair giving me a stripes of brown through the blonde, and there was an obvious line where the brown dye met my natural blonde hair. After my stylist asked how I liked it and I explained my upsets with the job, she promised to fix it the same day, but I had to leave for an hour while she took care of another client. I arrived back to the salon about an hour later and my stylists manager and stylist informed me I would not have to pay for this session. (I would not pay even if I was to be charged for them to fix what was messed up...). Another 3 hours goes by and most of what was messed up was resolved. The "ombre" displayed a more cohesive look, the brown color was brought down significantly, and the cut that my stylist did (layers and face framing) was great! Again, I do have some brown dye that was transferred to the blonde sections. I was at Ulta Beauty for an entire shift of one of their full time employees. I arrived at Ulta at 11:00 AM when they opened and I left at 6:00 PM when they closed. I was asked to leave and come back for them to fix my hair instead of having the manager take a client and allow me to stay so it can be fixed. I had to ask the manager if there was any way I can have any money off of a service or something, as I practically wasted my entire day, instead of her offering or volunteering to take money off to make me happy and want to come back. After asking for some sort of a discount, she proudly announced that I saved $11.00 on my $124.00 total.... I was given my receipt to take up to the cash registers and after viewing my receipt, I was charged $45.00 for a hair cut, $55.00 for the overall dye, and $22.00 for glaze? I was told glaze is what they used to fix my hair, so why was I charged for this? When I went back to ask, my stylist informed me the glaze was the toner for the blonde. Thats not the same thing! When I asked the manager for explanation, she told my stylist to come and explain it to me. Although I had to sit 6 hours with my stylist, she was very personable and made my experience a little less stressful. People arent perfect, so I hold no anger towards her mistakes. I do feel as though, her manager should have offered a little more for me, I DO NOT think I should have paid what I did, and her manager should have been a little more attentive. At this point, I will not be referring anyone to this salon and I will not be back.

Moved into the area and happened to be in Ulta. Decided to ask for a consult on changing my hair color. Thank you Miranda for recommending Megan! Couldnt immediately do what I wanted because of the 20+ years of box dye on my hair but Megan explained what she could do step-by-step. Yesterday I got to almost the final step but we did my cut. I love it! And as an added plus Ive already had multiple people compliment my hair! Highly recommend!

Very difficult to get someone to help me! The girl working in hair dept. knew nothing about hair products. I wanted to purchase new makeup but will schedule an appt. with a reputable dept store. Someone needs to be in charge! Will not be shopping at this particular Ulta!

Compared to the Costal Grand Mall Ulta, this is the best one in the area. The staff is super friendly and get personal with your needs in getting you the right products. I always come here when looking for products or just recommendations from the experienced staff.

Salon looks good but as far as rest of the store goes, Id recommend the Coastal Grande location since its bigger, has more selection and friendlier staff. This location is fairly new so they may still be working out the kinks.

I would give this store no stars if possible. My mother and I stood at register waiting to check out for 10 mins. No one was there and no one came to check us out. We ended up leaving our items on the counter and leaving.

Not your typical beauty supply store. Very clean wide isles any product you would possibly want or need. Very polite and helpful employees who took there time with you and explained how to use the products .

Always seam to be having a great sale on shampoo liters or ulta brand make up. I stock up when I can. Buy two get two free? cant beat that! Plus they usually have a coupon on line or catalog.
