I happened to get stuck in James town around Folly road with some time to kill. I thought I would just go in here and spend a little time picking out a good rum or tequila as a gift to my parents who were coming up to visit. I was in this store about 15 minutes trying to decide what I wanted and I had finally narrowed down my choice between a 35 and 40 dollar bottle of tequila. The guy then comes up to me and says he doesnt appreciate me taking his time and he is very busy (no one else was in the store, and I wasnt bothering him). I told him I thought he was being very rude and I would have made a purchase if not for his attitude. Of course there is no apology and he tells me to not come back. Thats probably good advise for anyone.

This used to be the only liquor store i shopped at and havent been back in over a year. Go to Forsbergs a half mile away. Joe knows how to take care of his regular customers. He doesnt try and charge 300 dollars for a bottle of Old Forester Birthday Bourbon that you can buy for 40 bucks online. I get that people need to make money, but the long term dollar is not something that these people are concerned about. So, i take my business elsewhere.

Coming from North Carolina on our honeymoon, we were on our bikes and found the guy there really entertaining and coy!! Markers mark in nc is $70. This guy was only chaging $45 for the equivalent size bottle. He wanted us to take him for a ride on the bikes. :)

Owner charges 300% over retail for some of the bourbons on the shelf and is very rude. Go anywhere else.
