Follow-up, original review below: NOT RECOMMENDED - NOT RECOMMENDED So after a month, I noticed that the front end felt a bit squiffy, took it in for their techs to look at. After about 4 business days, someone finally test rode it and pronounced it to be free of mechanical defect. They suggested that I replace the front tire to alleviate the problem. After some debating, I decided to let them replace both tires since theyd probably be due soon anyway. Got the bike back, same problem. Im willing to accept that this may just be a handling characteristic of this bike, but its one I wasnt willing to live with. At this point I was tired of dealing with it, asked them to buy the bike back, and they agreed... for $1500 less than I paid for it! So after tires, I would be losing nearly $2k on a bike in less than 2 months of ownership... Talk about depreciation! After looking for another buyer with no bites to be had, I finally decided to just let them buy it back at the agreed-upon price of $6500, which was verbally agreed to over the phone. When I went in to close the deal, Harry "jokingly" asked me, "$6000 even, right?" I laughed it off and we went to do the paperwork. All of the paperwork was filled out for an 07 bike, and when I brought this to his attention he tried to drop his offering price "because the trade value is lower for an 06." I was getting screwed out of nearly $2k, and he was trying to lowball me even further?! I couldnt believe it. I wouldve walked out if I hadnt needed the money for another vehicle so I could commute to work. Well, after he hemmed and hawed I finally got him to settle on the PREVIOUSLY agreed-upon price. I think the whole reason they wouldnt buy it back for the amount I paid is because Harry wanted to keep his commission. I shouldve known this "deal" was too good to be true. In summation - I DO NOT recomment that ANYONE do business with this stealership. There are plenty of other REPUTABLE places to get a motorcycle. DONT DO IT. Original review: Let me start by saying I havent dealt with them for a very long time, just long enough to get a screaming deal on an 06 K1200R. Harry was extremely accommodating, and honored a price posted on their website even though it was well below book (and had already been corrected by the time I got there). Yeah, I got less than what I could have on my trade, but this IS a dealership that has to make money in this crappy economy. Im happy with my purchase and will go back to them in a heartbeat when they have a used S1000RR i can trade up to!

My experience with Champion Honda has been a generally positive one. Have had my 2004 599 in there twice in the past two years. Had the valve lash checked and although they did not need adjusted, I thought the price for the labor and comfort in knowing I was within spec was worth the $200. Next time, I took the bike in for tires and brake pads. They recommended Michelin but I went with Dunlop instead. The quoted price for the front and rear Dunlop Qualifers were very expensive! I asked the parts guy if they price matched and they said absolutely. Literally, we went to the website right at the desk, I showed them I could get these tires from Bike Bandit for a much lower price, free-shipping, and without question, he gave me the exact same price, awesome! Now for the brakes pads, I replaced them with OEM pads all-around and they were expensive. After a few hours of riding, I heard a sound that was all too familiar as I had made this mistake before when replacing brake pads on my WRX. Basically, the Technician forgot to put grease on the backing plates and corners of the pad assembly (the "floating" regime and where the piston hits the backing plate). I rebuilt those in the parking lot (took all but 40 min in total), but needless to say this was a bit disappointing and my only small complaint at this point. I agree with some of the comments on here that price for bikes seem rather high, although I am not a "new bike" kinda guy so I am never really going to pay much more than $5k for a bike. I do although like to keep an eye on their inventory as they get some very nice older Honda CBs once in a while. Again, prices seem very high so may stick to the Ads, word-of-mouth or Craigslist for older models. Unless they get an OG Indian Chief, then maybe I will up my budget. The Checkout lady and parts department have been helpful for sure, but its usually better to do some homework before going there. The guys in the back seem to always be down for conversation about almost anything, cars, bikes etc... so this is refreshing. Anyways, just thought I would fairly mention all my experiences with this Dealership. I would recommend.

There are so many things wrong with this motorcycle store. Let me list a few and go into detail as to why this place is awful. First Randy, one of the managers is a salesman to the core. He cares absolutely none for your personal safety or happiness. He cares about selling you a bike. He would and has sold a 1000cc motorcycle to an incapable and unsure rider who has never ridden before. What a truly awful way of thinking. Second their service is absolutely terrible. I called the service department and was placed on hold for twenty minutes. After twenty minutes I finally hung up. This isnt really a problem, I figured hey you know they are probably busy as hell. So I geared up and rode down to Champion to talk to the mechanic in person. When I got there the mechanic was sitting next to a bike not 10 feet away from the phone that was ringing for twenty minutes. Now Im a little irritated. Talking with him was like talking to a brick wall. He made no eye contact and talked into the motorcycle he was working on. No introductions, no greetings, no anything. He made it very clear that he did not care about my motorcycle or myself. Therefore I left and did not give him my business. I also noticed their hourly wage sign that read 90$ per hour for any bike that isnt Ducati or BMW and 45$ per half an hour for Ducati and BMW.... THAT DOESNT MAKE SENSE. This is truly the worst motorcycle store I have ever gone to and I most certainly will NEVER buy a motorcycle or anymore parts from them. I would rather drive to Greenville to buy a new Ducati from them than buy from Champion. I was considering buying a new Streetfighter, however I have been so turned off by their business practices that I will now take my business to Charleston Powersports instead. These people really know how to treat customers.

**********WORST BIKE SHOP IN CHARLESTON*********** This shop has no clue on what they are doing, they take your money give horrible customer service and break your bike so you cant ride it, thats what they did to me. HARRY IS NOT THE GENERAL MANAGER, NO MATTER WHAT HE SAYS RANDY THE IS THE OWNER, HARRY IS HIS PUPPET. THEY TRICKED ME INTO LETTING RANDY KEEP BREAKING MY BIKE BY LETTING ME THINK HARRY WAS IN CHARGE. AFTER RANDY BROKE IT THE FIRST TIME I ASKED FOR SOMEONE IN CHARGE AND HARRY SAID HE WAS AND THAT HE WOULD GET EVERYTHING HANDLED, OH I GOT HANDLED TO THE TUNE OF $1900 FOR A REPAIR AND THE BREAKING OF MY TRANSMISSION SO IT NO LONGER IS RIDEABLE. WHEN I ASKED RANDY TO TRANSFER ME TO THE GENERAL MANAGER SO I COULD COMPLAIN HE SAID "REMEMBER ONE THING HE WORKS FOR ME" THAT SEEMS LIKE DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES IF YOU ASK ME. I HOPE THESE GUYS GO BANKRUPT AND STOP HURTING GOOD PEOPLES BIKES, LOOK AT THE OTHER COMMENTS, THE ONES THAT ARE GOOD ARE SHORT AND SWEET CAUSE THEY ARE FAKE! DO NOT GO HERE!
