RUN RUN RUN AWAY DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PLACE! I purchased a moped from this company on 3/14/14. It rained and got chilly the next day so it sat and then on the next day went out to start it and the battery was dead. I tried to kick start it and the housing broke and made the moped not ride able after 2 days of owning it. I called them and they said it would be a week before they could pick it up to look at it and then after they got it they decided then to order the new housing which took another week. I went and picked it up and when I got home noticed that the ‘new’ housing they ordered that took a week to come in was rusted and so was the kick start. I felt very cheated and upset but as long as it worked whatever and let it be. Two days after getting it back the battery was dead and I figured it was a fluke and took the battery in to AutoZone and they charged it for me. After a day the moped was dead again. I did some research online and using a multi meter found out the voltage regulator was not working so I called them and took it in. This time I said I could not leave it for a week and be stranded and made an appointment. I told them that I had done some troubleshooting and from what I found the voltage regulator was not working. I showed up for my appointment and the mechanic had no clue what was going on or anything about my appointment. After a full day of waiting they decided that it was going to take longer. 4 days later all I get is “the moped is not acting like it should so we are trying to figure it out. “ 7 days later I get “The voltage regulator is not working so we had to order a new one.” I was pretty upset because that is what I told them on day one and it took them 7 days to figure out what I already told them. Part came a week later. I picked up the moped and George says well I hope we got it fixed this time. I ignored his statement as I didn’t want to tell him off and drove off. 5 days later guess what the moped is dead again. Battery not charging. I call them and tell them I am very upset and this has gone on long enough I purchased a moped from him and in the month and a week I have owned it, it has been in his shop for 3 of those weeks. He tells me I need to bring it in so they can look at it and I simply say no. This moped is evidently a bad one and I would like a replacement one or my money back. He argued with me that they have a strict no refund policy but he will call the owners and let me know tomorrow. I try to call him the next day and he is out of the office all day. They are closed the next so I call him first thing Friday morning and he has no clue who I am or what I am talking about and did not talk to the owners about anything. They have refused to refund or exchange the mopes and now it sits broken. They will only take it into the shop and take a look at it. But it is very evident the mechanic there does not know what he is doing or the moped would be running again. This place has the worst customer service, they do not know who owns what moped or what is the status of any of the repairs unless you remind them what was wrong with your moped repeatedly. Some people have a laid back attitude and that is ok, but George has no clue what is going on his store from day to day. This is NOT a business that you want to do business with. There are several moped stores around Charleston and down the road from them. Skip this place and go to the next, you will wish you did.

The ONLY shop I deal with. I have purchased a total of 6 scooter from Moped City, Two of which I have sold, one got stolen, and one was totaled in an accident. Any time Ive needed service and/or parts theyve been more than helpful. Parts are always in quickly when i order them. Id send anyone here. The three scooters myself and my room mate have remaining are still running great with over 5k on each!

This is the best place in Charleston to buy a moped. I bought one at another shop, and when they couldnt fix it after three weeks, I brought it to Moped City and they got it back to me running right in less than two days. I was so happy with my experience there that when it was time to buy a moped for my son, we went to Moped City and got another one.

This place is an absolute joke. I brought my moped to get it fixed. 1 Month later it broke again. I should have listened to the google reviews and not brought it here in the first place. I am in market to buy a new moped and will go some place else. Customer Service was terrible, owner unfriendly, and clearly does not have his ducks in a row.
