Steve, the owner, will do anything to make a sale. He will treat you kindly and throw in discounts every which way to close the deal. Upon receipt of the payment, he will then shut you out. This wouldnt have bothered me much if the sale was completed. However, their delivery driver had broken a piece of the bed frame we had purchased during transit and had promised to get us a new one on behalf of the company. I should never have signed that receipt for the incomplete bed set we received that day. I called him once a week for two months asking for when it would be ready. He kept telling me next week, next week. It was only after I threatened legal action and demanded proof of his purchase from the warehouse that he actually stepped up and "bought" the piece. "When will it come in," I asked. "In about 5 business days," he responds. Why didnt he just order the piece sooner? Why am I still waiting to get my refund/missing piece? What kind of business is this? When I asked if they kept good records of their sales and purchases (in order to have proof of purchase of the broken frame) he flat out said no. So I called him five days later. His response, "Well get it in a week." I feel like this guy is just messing with me now and Im never going to see my refund or replacement piece. LESSON LEARNED: Never accept incomplete merchandise from a vendor, and definitely never pay for it. Return it until its complete and dont waste your time or money like we did.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Steve and Gilmore Furniture. And I didnt know Steve from a hole in the wall until I bought furniture from the his store. My first purchase from him was a couch. We custom ordered a sectional and one of the pieces was too large to fit into our house (I guess I should have measured beforehand). We really thought we were going to be stuck having a really nice couch in the garage. However at no extra charge, Steve reordered the sectional and it was delivered to us for free when it came in (which was a while, but then again it was a custom piece). Since then we have bought 2 recliners, an entertainment center and a mattress. I ended up being unhappy with my mattress choice and Steve is letting me exchange it. So, as far as being an "easy" customer, I dont have a good track record. Despite this, Steve has been nothing but friendly and helpful. He remembers his customers, always has a smile and delivers the highest level of customer service. The prices are very reasonable (top of the line mattress is under $1500) and the delivery charges (if any) are less than half of the big stores. Another bonus is nearly everything in Gilmore Furniture made America, something I really support. Gilmore Furniture has a customer for life!

Amazing service and accountability! They stand behind the products they sell and they really go above and beyond with their customer service. The owner of the company, Steve Russo, took time out of his busy schedule after work to come out to our 2nd floor apartment to personally assess whether the couch we wanted would fit up the staircase. Just amazing. Sales associate Deb treated us right from start to finish. Forget about the big advertised stores. They just could never measure up.

I purchased a couch a month ago at Gilmore. It just came in 2 days ago. They even took my old couch. I love my new couch. I also like the fact that most of the furniture is made in America. Steve is great too!
