Last May I picked up my custom built bobber from American Classic Motors and have never been more happier or pleased with any bike purchase. After I placed my order, it only took about 3 months to build, thats how long I was told it would take to build and the bike was completed per my specs and finished. The bike looks absolutely great and runs wonderful. Through the whole sales process, John was extremely helpful and answered all my question and kept my updated on the build. I just recently took the bike in for its first service and Brain the service manager seen a few minor things from normal wear on the bike and had those corrected free of charge. He took off the springer forks and had them re-powered coated due to a couple small rust spots on the neck and also replaced the kick stand swivel. I have spoken to Brain on the phone a few times about getting some paint codes for the bike and other items about the bike and he has always gotten right back to with the information I requested. When I stop anywhere while riding my bike I get many people looking at or hovering around the bike to check it out, and naturally I get asked a lot of question about who built it and from where. I have four bikes and this was and is my dream bike. I couldnt have ask for a better custom built bike. Although I only have 1200 miles on the bike due to my work schedule, I have had no problems what so ever with the bike, it runs great and it is powerful. I would highly recommend ACM to anyone considering buying or having a custom bike built. Thanks ACM for the great job on my bike and keep up the good work.

I regret that I cannot provide for less than one star here for American Classic Motors. Heres why: I bought a Harley Davidson FLT from 1982 as a restauration project on ebay from American Classic Motors on January 2nd . The add said it had a clear title. However it took almost two months, untill February 27th, before ACM eventually provided a re-asigned title and delivered it to the shipping agent. Therfore I decided to give a neutral feedback on ebay but then ACM literally begged me to change that. They would help me to get a couple of saddle bag lid covers which were missing from the bike. So I changed the feedback into positive, sorry I did that. I never heared from them again. Because of weather conditions the bike was shipped only in April and was cleared by the customs overhere in Rotterdam at the end of April. Medio May I could collect the bike, and then the keys were missing. ACM stated that the keys were taped to the handle bars but pictures taken by the shipping agent do not confirm this. Since I could not file a complaint on Ebay anymore I opened a dispute on Pay-Pal. I asked ACM to provide for a new ignition switch with keys which they refused. I would seriously recommend not to do business with ACM, they suck.

WHAT A TOTAL RIP-OFF!!!. I bought a $35 Kuryakyn Accent Vent for my Harley Davidson... it didnt fit, I asked to return; they asked for a picture so they could contact their supplier to get consent for a return, I replied and said my contract of sale is with you! Ok,OK we will give a refund but only if you will give us a great review, I said my review will be honest, thats the point of a review!... Then they told Ebay I had altered the part because I applied double sided tape in an effort to make it stick... This statement got my case closed because I apparently had "altered" the part... thus denying me the opportunity to give my review plus no return or refund as per Ebay rules! I have bought 1000s of items on Ebay & Amazon, sometimes you have to return for a reason.. Do yourself a favor do not believe Nick at AMERICAN CLASSIC MOTORS... he is a liar and will give the run around to avoid any return or refund.... Ebays rules plays into the hands of unscrupulous sellers, unlike Amazon!

Purchased a 4.5 gallon replacement gas tank through ebay, and didnt notice two dents until after the first coat of paint. The dents were due to poor packaging (which they blamed on the manufacturer)...dents were repaired and tank re-painted. Entered honest feedback on the purchase, and later got a phone call promising to refund after I make a feedback revision. Two months later, no refund. Emailing reveals that there was no intent to refund to me. While I may be partly to blame for not reaching out to them sooner, they promised the refund. That demonstrates to me that these folks are not good on their word. In the end, Im happy with the tank (even though it cost me an extra $180 for repairs). They can certainly count me out as a future customer, and I will steer my friends/family away. For me its not even really about the money at this point...folks should be good on their word. Dont worry about the refund Dave...the damage is done. Another life lesson for JD!

Pros all the way! And yes they do stand behind their products. My first purchase from ACM was a bobber they built for me while I was still overseas. After more than 11K miles the bike is still awesome. I was on a ride when the shift fork broke. The bike had already had several thousand miles on it. When I got it to ACM they told me the fork was broke and would have to be replaced. After some discussion about the loss of quality in the tranny I chose and that simply replacing the fork would only eventually lead to another broken fork I decided to just switch to a different tranny. They wouldve installed the new fork at no cost. Switching the tranny to one they had recommended during the build was the smarter decision. Had I listened to their recommendation I couldve avoided all of this. Nearly 10K miles later the bike the is still running like a champ!

salesmen and I use the term loosely stated I must have a valid insurance card picking up bike. I own another Harley and policy # for that can be used for new bike for up to 30 days . when I ask about test ride was told I must pay for bike in full be for hand. payment , had to go to my bank and get a certified cashiers check sales jerk stated will not take personal check (I live in pa an hour away ) so I fax new insurance card to them walk in with check for bike 19000 thousand and change now mind you this is after I was treated like they dont want to talk to you or care about the sale on phone and I run around to meet all there demands with ins, check . tells me I need your license I ask what for not thinking about registration sales jerk flips out . needless to say 19000 and change walked out to buy else where good luck to you two you going to need it .

They were rude, grumpy and unhelpful on the phone. Three calls spanned over days = voice message, transfers to dead ends and 5-10 hold times only to be rudely dealt with 3x on totally different occasions. Took 3 days and still never got a clear answer. Hard to buy if you cant provide specs on your product. I want to be clear this is a review simply based on my personal customer service experience not their products or merchandise. Ill take my business elsewhere and pay a few more bucks for great service to avoid listening to 5 more loops of Weird Al Yancovich sing "I bought it on Ebay" while I sit on hold for 10 more mins.
