Even though the last reviews of this place where not great I decided to go instead . If 0 Stars was an option I would give zero. Terrible experience. Went here because Ive had family members that have had good work done here. But I will never come back. I went as a walk in. the door says they open at noon I went about 12:30 on rainy Saturday. There was one person waiting. The only person that worked was there was a mess. And said that there was no tattoo artist even there until 3. Why does the door say noon? Why does your website advertise walk-ins? I asked to look for a portfolio of the artists and I was told that I could go on Facebook or Instagram. Why?Why is there no book to look at while youre there? Im getting something done permanently on my body and I want to pick an artist that I like their work . I was willing to wait as a walk-in I understood that but I wasnt going to wait 3 hours to even wait for a person to walk in the door to listen to my idea. So they definitely lost my business and my recommendations to all my friends that get tattoos. I went to the South side and instead and went to Kyklops, their shop is much cleaner, and professional, and their website is accurate they do take walk-ins I recommend that place instead.

Got my nipples pierced here and the chick that did them was very nice and professional and I left there feeling pretty happy about the whole thing.... Fast forward to almost a full year later, everything has healed nicely n didnt have any problems with that... but as I started looking into changing my barbells.. I come to find out she used a 16G! All the 14G jewlery I have just bought is now useless (eventho most nipples are done with a 14G!). She never told me what gage she used when I got them done or why she went with the smaller gage. Now I am very disappointed because it is very hard to find decent nipple jewlery in a 16G. Lesson learned I guess..

Terrible shop, terrible owners. All of their good artists and piercer left a couple months ago, and the owners try to tell former clients that they quit tattooing all together in order to take their regulars. The owners of this shop steal and butcher original tattoos as well as steal artists original art work. They took a former artists original business card and scratched out his name, replacing it with their own. Id give them zero stars if I could and most of the positive reviews on here are about artists that left the shop.

My wife has 2 tattoos from Art FX, and they are both outstanding works of art. This is honestly the nicest shop in Pittsburgh, and Ive been in several shops. They are very clean and orderly, but they dont give you the cold and unwelcome feeling in the pit of your stomach that youve more than likely gotten from other shops around. They are very friendly, inviting and professional at Art FX and I would recomend you at least stop by there before going anywhere else for a tattoo or a piercing.

My brother and I came to get matching tattoos this past Saturday and we absolutely loved the place. The tattoos looked awesome and were identical, just how we wanted them.The prices are VERY reasonable for such good work. My artist, Dawn, was very personable and a very talented artist. All employees that I interacted with there were very cordial and made us feel comfortable & at home. I will definitely be coming back for more artwork in the near future!

I really wanted to like this place. I got a tattoo here awhile back by Austin. The work is clean and looks good. However, the design is not exactly what we discussed. I understand there is artist interpretation. But I went in with pictures and there is a distinct difference between the picture and the finished work. Price was good. If going here, just be sure to be completely clear on what the final job should look like.

DO NOT GET YOUR PIERCINGS HERE. End of story. They messed up my lip so bad I couldnt keep it in for more than a day and I have had my lip pierced before. It was painful AND done wrong. They then said it was "normal" when I contacted them. Please dont put yourself through this. I have went before and loved it but not this last time. They have changed.

I called for assistance and the women on the phone was extremely rude and did not listen to what I needed. She was not helpful and didnt even try to find a solution for me. I would not recoomend anyone to go somewhere with such horrible customer service.

I have been going to ArtFX for 5 years now. All 10 of my tattoos have been done by Jon, and they are all amazing . The shop is very clean, and the staff are all so nice and helpful! I would definitely recommend this tattoo shop to anyone!

Ive been going to Art F/X for over 20 yrs that in its self speaks respect. I went a few years not getting any work but when I went back it felt like family to me. I dont go anywhere else and have no problem showing people my art work.
