I just want to confirm what the other reviewers are saying. Its true! They are the most rude, lazy, unhelpful people Ive every met running a business. I go there out of necessity. Bitter old hags work up front while the smart a .. kid tries to help but is clueless. The owner is the only kind and helpful person in the store. Too bad he doesnt fire the employees, my guess is they are family. Ive felt like a suspect shoplifting, and god help you if you ask for help, youre interrupting their social hour. I went in there to get a can of paint tinted. They wanted to charge me $5.00 to shake the paint. Once they realized it was not their brand they refused to even put it in their shaker. They said it might explode because if a tiny speck of rust on the can. Really? Meanwhile I had $50.00 of merchandise in my cart. And the best part is you get to pay 30% more for their attitude. I try to avoid at all cost.

Sept 5, 2016......terrible customer service; first of all, dont know why there were four people working on Labor Day. However, three of them were leaning against front counter chatting. Said what I was looking for (I am 72 year old woman), and was directed to aisle 4. Couldnt find what looking for, so went up front and asked for help (still leaning on counter)...the two men sent the young girl, who had no clue, to help me. Few minutes later, the man came back and picked up item and handed to me....said the girl should have known.....how could she know where items are when she is not told to walk around and enlighten herself to products. Then asked for another item and was directed down aisle 1. Was a nice young man stocking shelves, asked if he could help. At least he was working. Will only shop there when I am desperate.

I have been coming to this store for, 12 years. Never once have I not resented coming here. Not only are the prices ridiculous compared to other hardware stores, the FEMALE STAFF SHOULD BE FIRED OR FORCED INTO RETIREMENT! NASTY, RUDE. THEY COULD GIVE A RATS ASS IF YOU NEED HELP. This place would be out of business if other similar stores werent 20 minutes away. WHEN I CHECK OUT, THEY (GUYS ONLY) ASK ME IF I HAVE A TRUE VALUE CARD, I SAY NO I DONT. BUT THE NEVER ASK ME IF I WANT ONE. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR OVER 6 MONTHS. WHO EVER OWNS THIS STORE NEEDS TO RE-EVALUATE HIS STAFF!!!!

Went here to purchase some paint for my bedroom and was helped by two staff members. They were very friendly and even helped me pick a color that would look the best in my dim bedroom lighting. The process of picking the right color was pretty time consuming because I am an indecisive person who liked a lot of the colors. However, I never felt rushed by the two gentlemen who helped me and they seemed to genuinely care that I ended up with the correct color. I will definitely be returning in the future.

This store has the most unfriendly staff Ive encountered in a long time. The women that work there are the worst. Ive been there a dozen times or so, and when I need to ask a question they never seem to know anything. Its really to bad because they always seem to have what Im looking for. Im glad the a store in Newtown is now open. If only Finkles had longer hours or were open Sundays...

Found my gears for my space ship here. No questions asked. No time waisted. Must keep pushing on. Space: the final tequila shot!
