I had put off getting properly fit for running shoes for quite some time and thought I would pop in to see what they could tell me. I was greeted by a guy named Joe who would help me for the time I spent in the store. I explained to Joe that I was looking for new running shoes but had never been properly fitted. (also had been told by running friends that i was turning in significantly on my right foot but did not tell Joe this because i wanted to see if he would notice the same) Joe told me about the process of fitting and put me on the treadmill to videotape my action and how my feet land. He instantly asked me if I was a soccer player ( 15 yr player) and also pointed out i turned in pretty good on the right side and out on the left. Next he educated me on all the different shoes they sell,How each was made of different material and how that helped or hurt certain problems, Pros and cons of each and what would be best for my problems. I tried on many different brands and narrowed it down to 2. Then he had me put one different shoe on each foot and run on the treadmill to decide which I wanted. We then moved on to orthotic inserts to help with my turning in and out problems and went over all the different kinds they had and what I needed. All in all a wonderful experience that I felt Joe thoroughly cared about 1) getting me in the best shoe 2) educating me about the shoes and 3) showing me how important a proper fit really is...... Very happy about my experience at Philly runner shop and couldnt recommend Joe or the store more ..... 5 stars

Had a wonderful experience at this store. I had heard good things about the staff, and they lived up to all of my expectations. I interacted with two store associates, Colin and Jason, and both were great. Very friendly and knowledgable, and really took the time to help me find a pair of sneakers that was right for me and my running style. I dont know how I was even running before with my old sneakers! They brought the joy and excitement back to running for me! :) Prices for sneakers ran about the same as they did at other well-known retailers. Definitely would recommend this store to runners!

Stopped in today to exchange a pair of shoes I recently bought that did not work out. Beth was great and took her time to help me find a new shoe that hopefully will work out better for me. I will be back, they take their time and have great customer service, selection and knowledge.

Joe did a phenomenal job helping fit me for new running shoes. He took the time to explain everything and allowed me to try on the treadmill. I will definitely be buying from him and the Glen Mills Philadelphia Runner again. Great store!
