I really wanted to like this place. Its located in Doylestown in a cute back alley. They have live music, cold brew on tap, and cozy couches. According to Yelp, if you check-in for the first time, they give you a free 12 oz. coffee. I asked to use this coupon. The nice lady behind the register was confused. The owner yelled at her and was like "I never did that, Yelp did it." I was like fine I would like my coffee anyways. The owner was outright aggressive and rude despite our attempts to make small talk to get over the coupon debacle. Theres no reason to treat paying customers like she does. Customers (who arent regulars) dont matter here. The lady behind the register was like "I think the owner should give you a discount," so she asked on our behalf which further annoyed the owner. She kept asking if I wanted to use the coupon or not. I mean, "duh?" So she gave us one free coffee and I paid for the second cup. I am a big believer in supporting local businesses, but I will not be returning here! Take your money down the street to Nonnas cafe (6E State St.). They are kind, inviting and always put out water for pets to beat the heat. I will never be returning here and will make sure none of my local friends and family do either!

Quality coffeeshop food and beverage, nothing particularly outstanding. Atmosphere and space are great. However—written notices that customers are suggested to buy something if theyre using the wifi—knowing this, I purchased a cappuccino upon arrival. After a couple hours, the owner, perhaps manager, was rude enough to bother me to buy something else. I have never been treated this way by a business owner as a guest in a public place. Additionally, they have a $5 minimum for credit/debit purchases and the prices arent exactly competitive. In short—poor treatment even if you pay for their "free" wifi. I have been to a local coffeeshop in my hometown where I was treated better, had free wifi, and lower prices. This place was bad enough to lose my business.

great ambience, awful service. Both women working the counter were rude and inept, seemed put out by our party ordering lunch. The place does not have manpower to actually prepare food as our simple order of wraps and sandwiches created a backup in the coffee ordering line. Attitude of the staff is summed by the rude signs (which they must consider funny) posted at the order counter, one of which says "We are used to dumb questions". The staff is biased towards their "regulars" and seems to treat anyone else as an interloper. Will NOT be returning, just about any place else is better in Doylestown. Decor and seating are awesome, food and coffee so-so, but its the bad attitude of the staff which makes this place two thumbs down.

Had been good - now pretentious and lower quality. Owner is still very nice, but baristas can be condescending, especially if youre not a regular. [Ive recommended to friends who have had a less than ideal experience.] Its a real shame because the tea is excellent. I have found though that the espresso quality has gone down over time. Im not sure if they are rushing the process, using different beans, or simply not cleaning their machines but the result is not what it used to be. They have decent food options like breakfast sandwiches, quiche, and desserts. Overall, management clearly needs to re-assert control. As a resident, I left for the Starbucks across the street and thats a shame.

I wish all coffee shops felt like this! Lost one star for fully automatic espresso machine... I prefer my shots to be properly timed. Its not ultimo coffee for sure, but my espresso still had pleasing acidity, with notes of dark chocolate and smoke (definitely a darker roast) The atmosphere is so incredibly lovely that Id stop here every time Im in Doylestown! Im currently sitting on a comfy couch surrounded by great music and a grand piano. The baristas were friendly and kind. No complaints about service here!

I have always loved getting a cup of coffee at The Zen Den when I visited Dolyestown, PA. Their coffee was always good (it still is good) and the service was decent. However the service has gone downhill! The baristas were very snooty and unfriendly, acting a bit diva like. Like you make coffee, you are not some pop/movie star!!! I thought they were quite unprofessional to a few customers. Prices have gone way up too! I think Starbucks is cheaper then The Zen Den. Not sure Ill be back anytime soon.

Best little coffee house ever! Great atmosphere. Very comfortable and cozy with several couches and tables. Art on all the walls. The bathrooms are so clean you can practically eat off the floor. The owner and staff are very friendly, helpful, wonderful people. None of that coffee shop snobbery Ive run into at other shops. The menu is very small but HEALTHY and delicious! And the coffee and teas prepared are perfect.

I just tried the Amber Rooibos tea and was so pleased. It had the perfect blend of earthy and sweet flavor. All their teas are organic and natural and you can tell. After drinking the tea I felt better. I was even allowed to use my tea bag again for a second helping. This is such a wonderful option for tea lovers! They have over 20 varieties. Better than anyone else in town

I stumbled on this hidden treasure on my way out of town, & my only regret is that I couldnt stay there all day. Sweetest staff; lovely, cozy atmosphere; & the grilled King Kong sandwich hit the spot-- hearty without being overwhelming, & just tantalizingly sweet. Just thinking about it is almost enough to make me want to make the trip back to Doylestown right now... mmmmm..

I always have a wonderful experience here, without a doubt! I highly recommend this coffee shop to everyone I know who needs a nice cup of coffee or tea in Doylestown. Their food is DELICIOUS too! In addition to the cozy atmosphere, their service and employees as well as the owner are some really awesome people. Check it out, you wont regret it!

Great little coffee house, located just behind the County Theater on a back alley/ parking area. Actually the place is not so little. Its larger than average. They have live music on the weekends. I was very happy to discover this shop, and I will go back again and again. Hidden gem in Doylestown!

This place is super amazing. Comfy and cozy, great coffee, friendly positive attitudes, and my 4 yr old loved the cookie! Dont let other over reviews fool you. Perception is reality and some people cant be pleased. Almond and coconut milk served which is a plus! Im looking forward to coming back!

Great choices for interesting flavored lattes. Staff is friendly and the little hearts in the foam is a nice touch. Lots of places to sit and chill. I like that they have punch cards now (or maybe I never noticed before) for a rewards type program.

Wont be going back. After ordering a coffee and biscoti, I was refused a cup of tap water and direted to buy bottled water insted. Too bad, I thought it might be a homey place, but the people at Starbucks and Saxbees are much more freindly.
