One should not go to any chain pet store expecting expert knowledge because the people there simply do not have it. I have multiple doves, an amazon parrot, bearded dragon. and multiple guinea pigs and I dont expect these people to know much more then what those animals are. They will give you starter tips and recommendations like any pet store but otherwise go to a privately owned specialization pet shop or research yourself. that being said they have a small selection of reptiles and birds that I find to be mostly overpriced, but I wouldnt buy my pets from a pet store anyway. The animals they do have appear to be in general good health and taken care of better then most chain stores would. Like their name states, Pet Supplies Plus is great for pet supplies. They offer good deals on many pet essentials like bedding and housing. They have bulk food for small animals and birds that is available for purchase. It seems to run out often but, they get shipments every wednesday-thursday so its best to go Friday or Saturday to make sure they have what you need. The staff is friendly and will help the best they can. Not a huge selection but what they offer is well priced.

A Private User

We travel out of our way to visit Pet Supplies Plus in Bethel Park, because (1) we think their tropical fish department is the best in the area, and (2) they carry "Chicken Soup for Dog Lovers Soul" which is a hard-to-find, natural dog food. The staff is knowledgeable and always friendly, parking is a breeze, the store is always clean and well-stocked, and they have a discount card program, just like those pet super-stores. We prefer the personal touch at Pet Supplies Plus.

Endless Sky

I went to buy a live feeder mouse and the lady said they didnt have any because a guy bought them all the day they got them. And they wouldnt get them in for five more days. What idiotic person thought this was a bright idea. There should be a limit to how many you buy if this is the case. I dont think they realized that they were screwing over their other customers when they did this. Now my snakes not gonna eat for 2 weeks.

Called looking for a certain kind of fish food was told they had it along with price and weight. when I got there and asked again I was told they didnt have it and sometimes they get shipments but not consistently. Luckily I walked around and found it but no help from staff. Even if its not a regular item they couldnt walk five feet and checked or said if we do it would be over there.

I love this store. The staff is always helpful. Always buy my Dane high quality food and treats at great prices here. Also we purchased a bearded dragon. The district manager was there and she loaded our cart with everything we needed to give him a happy home. The staff always carries my dog food to my car. I refuse to shop/groom anywhere else.

0 knowledge in the fish department. Girl broke out a picture book when I asked for something. Their prices are average for pet stores. The place was clean and minimal death in the tanks. Not a bad store but if I want knowledge on anything and not just someone to scoop something out of a tank Id rather go over the hill to Petco.

They did a good job at grooming, but everytime I have gone they randomly charge extra for things up to $30 beyond the normal fee for grooming. Complaining to the manager has removed the charges but it is not fun going in knowing that you will have to complain because you know they are going to overcharge you!

Went in not knowing their rules. They usually require an appt for a bath but they were able to squeeze us in. Not only that but they cleaned my dogs ears and gave her a cute pink bandana. Very professional and courteous.

Hi when you buy an animal there family, not just an animal from hear, I love this place, This is gizmo the ferret i got from pet smart He fell asleep in my pocket life is love to my baby!

Awesome staff, and a huge variety of food, toys, and any other pet needs. They are very knowledgeable, and treat the animals they sell incredibly. My favorite pet store hands down.

They did an amazing job cutting my dogs nails. It is so convenient to wash my dog at the self wash center here. It beats trying to wash my dog at home.
