Derek and Bo were our guides. 12 kayakers with either zero or limited kayak experience. Derek was very informative during our paddle. We did the wetlands guided tour. 3 hours. Saw various birds throughout the paddle. Bring water. Go to bathroom before you leave. Dress in layers. You will be warmer more than cooler during your excursion. You will not have a chance to relieve yourself during the three hours. There are 2-3 stopping points to rest, drink water and remove a layer of clothing. Otherwise, you are paddling through open water and into various channels and lakes. They cove r the basics with you and place you in single kayak based on your body type and experience. You will get a little wet from the paddle dripping into your kayak. Suggestion- use sunscreen on legs and arms AND if you can find a waterproof cell phone case you can take pictures through bring it. I would test out at an outdoor store before buying one online. Good trip. 2-2.5 hours would be perfect, last 30 minutes was arduous.

We took one tandem kayak for two adults and a toddler and one single kayak for 12 yrs old son. We spent two great hours on water. There were various birds on the way and nice view on St Helens mnt. Staff was friendly and helpful. Kayaks condition was good.

A lovely place to get SUP and kayak rentals. Staff is super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable of the area. The store has quite a few items for purchase, and they primarily carry Next Adventure gear which I appreciate since I love their PDX store.

Ive bought two Perception Kayaks from them and every time they go above and beyond to make sure that I have the gear when I need it and that its ready and waiting for me at the paddling Bay Center. I wont go anywhere else for my kayak needs

Beautiful day for paddleboarding - 81 and clear skies. Staff was very friendly. Water was calm and perfect for a leisurely time. We spotted a bald eagle, blue heron, and several large fish. We will definitely visit this place again!
