I love Nordstrom. I worked there through college and now I love to shop there. It is my go to place for my wardrobe. I was excited to pick out a few new items during the anniversary sale, and I was happy to see that on a Tuesday afternoon the place wasnt busy. After a wonderful 5 star lunch at the cafe I got to shopping. I started in petites. With arms full of jeans I was surprised to see no one around. I waited at the entry of the dressing rooms until someone asked if I needed help. Not a big deal. Then on to the Top Shop. Again, no one greeted me or offered to help me. This time there were 2 employee chatting at the check out kiosk. Then on to handbags where... you guessed it! No help. I finally ended in BP where there were not 2 but 3 employees chatting with no customers. With arms full of clothing and no help after waiting at the dressing rooms for a few minutes I put the clothes down and left. Shopping should make you feel good. I was excited to spend my hard earned money on some necessities and some splurges. I didnt buy anything here because I couldnt seem to get anyone to help me on a slow day. Ill definitely come back for lunch, but from now on Ill take my money to the downtown store where I can at least get a fitting room.

Big thank u to Aidan in the mens shoes section for the best customer service Ive had in ANY Nordstrom. He actually knows what FASHION IS. This man knows his stuff about the high fashion industry unlike some of the employees there. Great attidues from the employees there and they do there best to help u out with what u are looking for. If youre a guy that has questions about not only shoes, but about high fashion as well then I highly recommend u to talk to Aidan. I left the store not buying anything at firts, but after me thinking in my head how much of a great employee he was, I went back to the store to not only say a big thank u to him for helping me out and having such a great attitude and making me feel like a friend, that I bought both of the shoes that I was looking at. I left the store as a happy customer with a big smile. I have no regrets of meeting him and I surely hope that he will get a raise because with the great customer service he gave me, he definitely deserves it. Once again thank u.

As I was walking into Washington Square, my Sam Edelman sandal (which I purchased at Nordstrom rack) got caught in the door and ripped. I was already having a horrible day due to dealing with the stress of my iPhone being stolen the previous night. I went straight to the Nordstrom shoe department and without question they told me they could replace my sandals. The salesman was more than helpful. When it turned out that the shoes I had were completely sold out, I was allowed to look for completely different shoes to replace them. I found 3 pairs I wanted to try and none of were available in my size. The salesman asked me what I was looking for and quickly brought me 3 more options that I had completely overlooked. I bought a great pair of Franco Sarto sandals to replace my Sam Edelman ones, and a cute pair of Sperrys, just because they were cute. Thank you so much to Nordstrom and the wonderful salesman for your being so kind and patient, and completely turning my day around.

Best customer service hand down at this location, especially in the mens shoes department. I went in for shoe laces a couple weeks ago... The guy not only laced them up, he took my shoes in the back and polished them. Little things like that are cool. On a separate occasion I purchased an expensive pair of boots there and they started to make a squeaking noise which was annoying after a couple months. I wore my boots to the store to show the sales rep the strange noise, he literally offered to replace them on the spot with brand new boots. Keep in mind I didnt even have my box or receipt and had wore them for a couple months! I almost felt bad for taking him up on his offer but of course I did. This is why I will always shop at Nordstrom, they back their product if anything goes wrong. 99% of the time you never have to return stuff but if you ever do they take care of you.

I dissagree with people who think they do not get helped when looking "dindgy" I literally wear blue jeans and faded or plain ugly tshirts and I often wear sandals in the middle of winter. I look nothing like the normal Nordstrom Shopper but I go to nordstrom whenever I buy anything work related and for my wife. I am always treated very well and get all the help I want. I have found that the way you dress has nothing to do with how you are treated at Nordstrom and as long as you can communicate you will get more help than you will ever expect from a department store. I get top level service when buying sox or a $1,000 sport coat for work. I recently dealt with Liz Perkins from the womens dept buying a coat for my wife and she went above and beyond even when it was not her dept. I will continue to shop at Nordstrom and pay more for the service I get.

I love shopping at Nordstrom in nearly every way. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and the prices are mostly reasonable. The quality is excellent and the return policy is above and beyond any other retailers. My only complaint is the loudness of the music that plays in both the stores and The Racks. It is distracting and seems geared toward a younger clientele. My preference would be to have soft music playing in the background. I have left the stores on several occasions because the music was blaring and the staff said they could do nothing about it. Please consider ALL your customers when selecting music and volume. Thank you.

I was at Washington Square Nordstrom yesterday 5/25/15 in the late afternoon for the Half Yearly Women sale and trying to get a match for my shoe. I had to walk around to look for the shoe dept. people and came to one. He just finished helping his customer so i asked for what i need. He didnt make eye contact and then looked around for someone who can run into the storage to get it for me. He didnt say a word to me and i felt like he didnt acknowledge that i am there while talking to other customers ? After a few minutes he asked another salesperson to go look for me. Never say a word again. What a obnoxious salesman.

There is so much inappropriate talk at the MAC counter as well as gossiping and rudeness. The workers stand around talking about anything and everything and I have even overheard them speaking badly about other employees and customers. I have only witnessed a few employees actually being nice and friendly. The guy that works there is amazing and so artistic. A girl with long black hair and lots of tattoos was extremely nice and knowledgeable. A girl I actually spoke to (named Erica with black hair) was very sweet and knowledgeable as well. Other than that I have seen and heard nothing but nonsense and cattiness.
