i loved the eugene store when a friend took me there, but i havent been to that location since 2005/6, the only problem i had @ the springfield oregon location was some of the produce was going bad (this was in 2007/8) and kind of moldy. you have to check that, i learned. COPIED FROM MY EUGENE WINCO REVIEW (since the store is basically the same): anyway, shopping here was one of my favorite things, even though some people could clog the isles. i could find most everything that i needed here, besides some organic items and spices, but they might have those now. prices for some deli lunch meats really went up in the area around the year 2000, SO when i found this place i could still get inexpensive pastrami which was very nice. i found the bulk section to be a major part of what made it great, BULK pasta, linguine, cashews, nuts, trail mixes, popcorn, nutritional yeast, coffee beans, and on and on! plus i miss the cascade pride five seed bread that they had, you cant find that in texas. plus they did have some vegetarian options like lower calorie veggie cheese which was great for me. the huge bulk containers of salsa, hansens natural sodas, bakery fresh italian bread, i could go on and on. you save $ because you have to bag your own groceries and they dont take credit cards but its worth it.

Great prices. Veggies are not always as fresh as other stores. No store hand-baskets (you have to use shopping carts); but they replaced all the carts with new ones about 8 months ago and most are in pretty good shape. I always stock up here on grocery staples, and then hit the higher priced stores for their better selection (if needed). As mentioned in earlier reviews, you have to bag your own and the store is often very crowded. If you go in the middle of the night you can avoid crowds, but cant take your cart down the aisles because they have restock boxes stacked down the middle. Early morning is especially bad; the crowds have arrived and many vendors are still moving pallets around restocking shelves. late evening to midnight is probably the best time to shop, but some items, especially bakery products, will be thin then.

Winco is the price leader in the community. They focus on high volume sales, with highly streamlined checkout counters, tall shelves, wide freezers and refrigerators, piles of fresh fruit and vegetables, and aisles of bulk food bins. Their operations are like a grocery buffet. Some may feel that the store lacks in customer service. After all, you bag your own groceries, haul them to the car on your own, sort your own bottle and can recyclables, and you are unlikely to encounter a wandering service person while shopping. However, for my money, Id just as soon do those little chores myself and realize the difference in my wallet. Finally, the in-store pizza take out, Leonardis, is the best bang for your buck, period. You will have to pay TWICE as much to get a better tasting pizza in this town.

I like the cheap selections but now Im iffy, Ive been mocking when Ive told produce workers there is mold on their produce and also Ive found aphids (the little green bugs that like produce) in multiple boxes of pretty much everything from strawberries to raspberries and so on Ive also bought meat fresh from their carts with maggots in the meat. And all they tell you when you are like oh hey this is what I found is oh well have you returned it? and they i say in a way that makes you want to ram your fist through there faces. there customer service sucks over the phone.

Product selection was good, got what was needed. Something had clearly recently rotted in the bakery dept, the smell was still in the air. Also, an international passport is apparently not enough proof of age to buy a bottle of wine here. The vapid checker who helped us delivered a more disrespectful experience than ive had at a grocery store in awhile--bordering on racist and discriminatory toward my girlfriend (who is quite old enough to buy alcohol). Never coming here again.

You have to bag your own groceries but you cant beat the prices. A number of things that I purchase are half the price of what they cost at stores like Albertsons and Safeway. They even beat the prices at Walmart. Their pizza shop is good but a little overpriced now that papa johns and pizza hut are selling pizzas for the same price. Expect a crowd because the place is always packed.

I like that WINCO is worker owned. They have a wide range of products and produce. The produce is good but, I wish there were more organic items. They, even carry hard to find, tropical fruits and veggies. They carry very good cleaning supplies and household necesities. The prices are better than most other stores. I feel good about supporting this business.

We went to the Springfield WinCo tonight for bulk candy. I found that not only are the stores layouts different but I also discovered Coconut Curry Cashews. Its a candy coated nut and tastes wonderful! I also found chocolate Bit-o-Honey. It was okay. I prefer the original Bit-o-Honey. I usually take s bite of one with s small bite of Tootsie Roll. Yum!

We shop at WINCO more often than any other grocery store. They have good produce, friendly, helpful staff and the store has a good layout. You do have to bag your own groceries and they dont accept credit cards, but that is part of how they keep prices low.

People are friendly and the service is excellent. Cash King Liquidator in Springfield lost my business for being rude and racist to me I took my business to WIN CO foods for the lower prices on cigarettes and food before I go to work.

Its easier to shop there now. I usually dont, because I am disabled and I have a hard time getting around the store with out handy able carts. I love the large amount of bulk you have, I will be coming back . .

Winco is my go to place for the best prices on groceries. The Springfield winco Id frustratingly not as well organized and not as clean as the Eugene store but its still a good place to get food.

So crowded .I got hit from two people.I had to leave my cart of food.I think it would be smoother if there was people to help people find what they were looking for,and more checkers

Too crowded, things stacked too high, prices arent that good. Always seems dirty. Never buy fresh fruit or vegetables there! Always spoil before they should. Staff poorly trained.

Store is great only problem I ever have is other customers being rude. Dont shop here if a big store gets on your nerves, and if it does dont take it out on other customers.

There is an extremely large selection of food available. Its hard to describe with words the sheer immensity of food in the store. It is THE place to go grocery shopping.

Awesome, friendly, inexpensive, cooperatively owned grocery store. I cant understand why (other than a sense of metropolitan superiority) anyone would shop anywhere else.

I love the growing organic options. They also offer local products. Excellent prices on most items. Most of the cashiers are wonderful. And, its employee owned!
