Everything started out great with very helpful staff and good prices on a door for a remodel. I paid Building Material Resource to have the door hung and bored for a Schlage lockset. I gave them the lockset so that it would be properly bored and mortised for the latch and strike plate. After installing & painting the door, I proceeded to install the lockset only to find one of the bore holes was too small and all four of the latch/strike plates were not mortised deep and big enough to fit the plates. Shame on me for not checking this when I picked up the door. I talked to the Daniel, the owner of Building Material Resource about the job. He said we have taken about 30 of these (doors) to have bored and mortised and have not had a problem. All you have to do is chisel and rebore. I told him I expect a job to be done correctly if I pay someone to do it. His answer was maybe you should take it to Home Depot next time. Yes I will and would recommend others do the same. Unfortunately they get a generous one star for attitude, helpfulness and very poor customer service. As you can guess, I cannot recommend this business to anyone.

Great, great place to go before you start any woodworking, home improvement, etc. project. They have an excellent assortment of recycled and new hardware, lumber, etc. Etc. They may not have exactly what you need every time, but I highly recommend stopping in here before you head to home depot, they are both right off 99 anyway. You may just find exactly what you were looking for at half the price. Dont plan on your first visit being a quick one... Youll want to stay a while.

I found BMR on the internet and had read other reviews....what people say that it is like family is exactly right. Daniel gave me a great deal on some wonderful doug fir flooring for my little house I was building. My brother did a fabulous job prepping, installing and sanding down the floor. I was just up there again to pick up some doug fir for shelving and, again, had a wonderful experience. Dress warm, its chilly in there!

Weve been here before, so when we needed to replace our aging cedar wood deck, we found the lowest price and best quality material here after checking all the other places. The yard manager Scott was helpful and friendly, and made sure a palette was ready for us when we needed it. Saturdays are busy so get there early and order ahead if you have a large order. Checkout was easy and fast.

What an awesome place. Lots of used and recycled building material in really great shape. Priced out a planter box project at the big box store and it was going to be almost $200 in lumber. Came here and got all of the same materials for less than $90!!! Awesome staff, plenty of good products and treasures to be found. I know I will quickly be come a regular here

Wide selection of character building items for any home. Need a unique window or door. Cupboard doors from old kitchens. Banisters. old lumber for fun projects. Friendly staff who will help you locate items if needed. We wandered for ages wishing we had more space. Prices are great also as in realistic prices.
