Upon entering the rear of the store, I noted the rude nature of two of the employees, one of which I was nearly certain was the owner. The sales clerk that was running the cash register was completely polite and mannered and assisted us with all of our questions, no complaints there. HOWEVER, going back to the reference of the two employees that I found to be rude, to explain this further; when we entered the store and proceeded to the back of the establishment, we could hear two employees discussing some recent theft they had had from the store. I understand this can be frustrating and I am a pretty easy going person, so I ignored this and tried to lighten the atmosphere by complimenting some of the glass blown items they sell there, as well as some of their very clever and humorous t-shirts that they sell there. I made a reference about how it seemed to be pretty difficult to locate good shops and things in some of the more populated parts of Oregon, as our GPS seemed to have issues locating places. I then proceeded to BEGIN a question by asking "Do you know where I could aquire.." and without even being able to finish my sentence.. the salesman whom I believed to be the owner, as he eventually made a statement about how he is "Trying to run a business". Well, immediately, before I could even finish my question, which was going to be NOTHING to do with drugs whatsoever, he immediately implied that I had been requesting locations to find drugs. Now ask yourself, by reading what I have typed do I seem like a drug addict? Honestly? Besides, I had not directly asked for anything to do with drugs and furthermore was going to ask him if he knew where we could aquire cheap and delicious food in the area, as we were not only new to the Portland area, but the Oregon scene entirely and Seaside didnt really seem like a "hopping" place to get food. So without me even being able to finish my question, he requests that I leave, gives me no opportunity to explain my question, then, because I am not an argumentative type, I turned to walk from the store (after having planned to buy hundreds of dollars of merchandise from their store) and turned once more to just state to him that even if I had been looking for drugs, his method of asking me to leave was inappropriate and rude. You dont treat customers that way and it is also very easy to confuse things, I dont know how everyone else feels, but I am the type of person that feels the customer is always right and you should at least always show common courtesy, even to someone that may in fact HAVE been asking for drugs, which again I repeat, I was not. I also repeat, I was and will never be the argumentative type and was not about to by any means plead with the salesman to allow me to stay in the store after he had so rudely told me to leave, instead, I took my business else where and spent plenty of money in another establishment. In summary, I would say the store sells high-quality products and seemed to have some well mannered good sales staff, but if in fact that WAS the owner, he needs to learn a little more about how to treat customers. I understand if I HAD been looking for drugs that legally he had to ask me to leave and protect his business, but that was not the case and he should not have been so rude. All I asked was that he not speak to me like someone that had in some way offended him, when in fact I was extremely polite to him, even after he spoke to me that way. In such a way, that my Aunt still purchased a bracelet from them, even though after treating a customer like that, nearly no one would have given them the time of day. Sorry for the essay, but this really made me have a pretty bad rest of my day, as I recently lost my father and was looking to get my mind off of it, then when I enter the store I immediately noted hostility and then was told to leave. This did not exactly help me to grieve peacefully, when now my mind was filled with how rude and inconsiderate people can be, even in a place of sale. IN SUMMARY: I recommend their items, but not their service.

Really cool merchandise inside, but horrifying customer service. I went in with my friend during a very slow time of day, so we were the only ones in the store. We were looking for star wars merch as a souvenir for our friend back home. The only employee in the store was immediately rude and disrespectful for no reason, giving us sarcastic comments and immature jokes. He acted like he couldnt believe we were actually asking him to do anything. My friend and I are both very shy and polite people, so we didnt do anything to warrant this very poor attitude, and chose not to say anything. After we purchased the first shirt I decided I wanted one Id seen in the window. As it didnt have a number on it, I specifically described it. They showed me a similar design, but with a different phrase at the bottom. They insisted that it was the same as the one outside, rolling their eyes and trying to make me feel like I was being an idiot and wasting all their valuable time. After I insisted it wasnt the same, another employee went outside to check it, and told me that it was the same. Having a very bad social anxiety disorder and tired of feeling belittled and picked on I begrudgingly said okay and got the shirt so I could leave. After we left, my friend had us check the shirt in the window. The pattern was in fact DIFFERENT than the one they gave me. Obviously the employee that checked it was illiterate, as they couldnt tell the difference between "drug offences", and "Illegal substance abuse". My friend went back in to show them their mistake. They didnt even apologize let alone offer to correct it. They only pointed us in the direction of another shop where I could get the right pattern. I lost $25 because of their mistake, and am now stuck with a ruined day and a t-shirt I dont even want anymore. I dont like to be mean, but the employees were rude, disrespectful, more than unhelpful, dumb, and nasty. I will NOT come here ever again.

Great store, great designs I got a shirt here about 3 months ago and it must not have been pressed properly as the design quickly started peeling off after washing. Went in to ask about it, pretty much expecting them to say it was the washers fault or something as I had no receipt or anything on me. however I was pleasantly surprised as the employee and whom I believe was the manager or owner stepped up and offered to patch and repress (they said they would have completely replaced the shirt however they were out of the design I had which was totally okay with me) and it looks pretty much good as new! Give and take a few minor cracks but at least its not peeling anymore and it still looks great. On top of that all, we decided to get another shirt and they quickly offered to give us the seal on top of the design for free! Ive already enjoyed coming to this store whenever I come into seaside, but this just makes me love it even more!
