Who doesnt love sex? A huge online dating site recently ranked Portland as a very sex-positive town, possibly Spartacus helped that happen. The retail store is a smallish, locally-owned sex shop with a front room filled with clothes both lace and latex, some jewelry, lotions, and gag stuff, etc...and a back room filled with sex toys and a small porn section. Selection is not "superstore" broad, and pricing is not "warehouse" cheap, (though ask the staff about specials, they usually do something every month and at times can make purchases downright inexpensive for some items). The thing is, the clothes, lube, and toys arent what makes Spartacus. Their claim to fame is leather. They make their own bondage gear, and equipment, have done so for years, and it is made locally, sold globally, and generally of very good workmanship. If you have the, ahem, cojones, to ask about a piece of equipment youre not familiar with, staff will take the time to explain it to you. Always a fun place to test the prudishness of a new paramour. Parking is on street and as they are close to Powells Books, hard to come by.

High quality and safe to use products, all the latest lingerie trends and a wall of over 100 different nylons. Dont be afraid to ask questions, they have heard it all and have all the right information to help you on your way. Love this place.

Huge, lots of toy selection. Clothing selection seems big, but once you narrow it down to a certain size and style you realize theres really not much there... I guess they have a little of everything. Helpful staff.
