Not good. I was initially excited about this place, I like meat. I ordered a pork sandwich and it was beyond gross. It was mostly fat and they had to make it twice because they messed up the first one. But the worst was it absolutely reeked of a filthy grill and I felt so greasy afterwards that it made me feel awful for the rest of the day. I was burping up nasty grease smell well into the next day and I had to throw the rest of the sandwich away because it smelled so bad no one else could stand to be near the sandwich. It might be alright if they cleaned their equipment regularly and used better cuts of meat but I dont dare come back and try again after that experience.

I had the Bhan Mi sandwich here last week and was blown away. The candied pork belly was tender and the sandwich was amazingly flavorful. Came back a week later to have another and the pork belly while tasty had the consistency of an old shoe. Not sure if it was old but I could not even eat it. If it had tasted like that the first time I would not have come back at all. All the other elements of the sandwich were fine. Maybe it was prepared wrong. I did upgrade to potato salad that tasted only like raw onion. For $12.50 for a sandwhich there ought to be a bit more consistency.

The banh mi sandwich was absolutely incredible. Their pork belly is top notch and tasted like sweet candy. Perfectly matched with salty veggies, it made for a savory yet light sandwich that I couldnt get enough of. Have been several times already for their locally-sourced meats (some of, if not the best I can find in SW Portland) and they have yet to let me down.

Had the pork shoulder sandwich. It was a ten! The meat was perfectly cooked and tender. The bun was toasted perfectly. The sauce was very subtle and not overpowered. The owner greeted us and talked at length to us while we waited for our food. Very layed back atmosphere. We will be back to try the brisket next. -Gregg and Colin C.

Portlands premier butcher. The cuts are great. The service is always top notch and the butchers have great advice and are incredibly friendly. They know and love their craft. Have a beer or a glass of wine while you decide between the steaks, sausages, or the scrapple (you want this). Its all incredible at a reason price.

It was ok. I personally thought the pricing was very expensive. 19 bucks for a sandwich, beans and a beer. Serving size was on the small side. I left still wanting more, but my wallet wouldnt allow me after spending almost 40 bucks to have lunch with my wife here.

Great and LOCAL meats both to eat and for sale. Fantastic service. Very good selection of beer and wine, to sit and drink - the shaded tables outside are fantastic on these otherwise hot afternoons - and to go, to include growlers of beer.

This place is amazing. Fall apart ribs, delicious brisket and sandwiches that make your mouth water. I especially love their take on the Banh Mi- candied pork belly with fresh veggies tying into a decadent yet balanced sandwich.

We enjoyed the Kiwi cider as well as the Black and Blue cider with our delicious side of baked beans and and brisket. Black and blue really complimented the barbecue flavors. Fun Saturday afternoon date. Fast and friendly.

Been here a few times for lunch. Always good and filling. Expect about $12 a meal which includes a sandwich and a side. Good rotating beer selection too.
