We will never go back to the tacoma boys in tacoma ever again. My boyfriend who is a journeymen meat cutter went here wanting to have a special cut, but the person we had to deal with clearly doesnt know anything about his job. He tried to tell us that the bone-in ribeye was only 1.5 in thick when clearly they were over 2in. Then once he realized which steak he was asking to have cut down the guy said hed butterfly it. Thats a whole different cut. For his information a butterfly cut means to split it down the middle making the steak flat while still attached. Then once again once the guy finally understood what he wanted the guy said oh no we cant cut the bone-in steaks. Clearly these meat cutters have no clue on how to do their job. They need to get REAL meat cutters in here if they are going to have a meat dept. They missed out on bigger sale due to lack of job knowledge and customer service.

I just went to Tacoma-boys on 6th avenue whom was advertizing pumpkins at .25 cents a pound.....Imangin my suprise when the rude (didnt say one word to me before she told me the charge) sales person rung up a 31lb pumpkin at $21.00....I was stuned and left, got 1 block away and turned around....I could not believe I had just paid nearly one quarter of one hundred dollers for 1 middle size pumpkin....I returned and asked for the manager....Who hotly told me that I purchased a Cinderella pumpkin and even though there was NO price display ANYWHERE I had been charged the right amount....He was RUDE, UNAPPOLOGETIC AND UNCARRING....I got my money back but I will not be returning to Tacoma Brothers and will make it my mission to tell everybody I know how poor their customer service is!!!!

This is not a good place to shop: 1. BEWARE! they sell EXPIRED FOOD! This is my first time going here, and as I was checking out their stuff, I saw mold in couple of pre-packaged food. The chocolates are 3 months passed their expiration date. I talked to one of their workers to let them know whats going on, and this lady asked me if I want it half off. HALF OFF!?! WTF!?! Seriously? Why would I wanna eat an expired food!?! 2. A lot of things here are over priced, regular grocery stores are so much cheaper

Awesome selection of gluten free foods. However, they are pricey. Some of which I can get at a local grocery store for cheaper. I often order from Amazon but when Im in need of that once in a while food...Tacoma Boys always comes through. Their produce is to die for and the selection is wide. If your looking for plants, planters or hanging baskets..."Tacoma Boys is the place". Always pleasant staff and always fresh. Thanks Tacoma Boys!!

I used to sing the praises of Tacoma Boys to whoever would listen. The prices were higher but the produce hit top marks across the board. These days produces barely compares with regular grocery stores like Safeway but the prices are just as high. What used to be entirely fresh food selected by hand is now the same corporate agribusiness produce every other store in the area has. I mourn a once great company.

I want to give a huge thank you to Corey @ the Tacoma location. I called regarding gift baskets and he answered all my questions and was very helpful. When i got to the store, Corey was beyond creative. I gave him my budget, he asked a few more questions, and came back (only 20 minutes later) with an amazingly beautiful masterpiece! I will be purchasing all my baskets from him! Thank you!

Nothing pleases me more than giving a well run independently owned business my money. The butcher counter alone would make shopping here worthwhile, but the selection of beer, wine, specialty ingredients, and even occasionally plants makes it a must stop shopping destination. The exterior is nothing special, but dont let that fool you.

They have the best pickled garlic and vegetables ever....Garlic Lady is out of Vancouver WA!! They also have Olive juice and Bloody Mary Mix!! You cant find these products in large chains...unless they are cool chains.....and dont just carry all the same brands everyone else does!! The one in Puyallup does not carry as much as here!!

I just discovered this place, and I love it! We got some very good produce and the flowers were beautiful. The only complaint I had is the corn I bought was actually quite old when peeled at home. I think they could be more thorough at keeping their supply fresh. The cherry tomatoes that we got also aged very rapidly.

I will be going to Tacoma Boys this weekend for my poinsettia and maybe a wreath. I bought one of each last year. Their plants are so healthy! Ive never had a poinsettia last until April! Im looking forward to having another one. The employees are always very helpful and friendly. Five stars all the way!

I have been here before and its been good but today the meat person was very rude when I told him that there was a fly in his meat case I tried to open the front to let the fly out and he said maam move away I got it very rude he could have been nicer

Every time I get fruit, particularly melons, they are on the verge of rotten inside. Cant tell on the outside, its always when I cut into it and dont want to travel all the way back to complaint. Also expensive. The veggies are great though...

Great super market. A lot of 1 off items. Good selection of fruit a veggies. Small quality selection of seafood & meat proteins. Awesome selection of micro brews and wine. A must visit when your in the area.

Great selection of meats, seafood, wine, craft beer, salsa, cheese, flowers and of course veggies n fruit. Love shopping here. Only suggestion is to get your younger evening staff to become more engaging.

Bacon. Oh, the bacon. The cottage bacon is no joke! Smothered with brown sugar and baked in the oven? Pure bliss. Then there is the applewood smoked, cherry wood smoked...so delicious.
