Today I went in to buy a piece of lace. I stood in line to get it cut for 10 minutes..not too bad, but then the lady who was going to help me next just walked away from her station and did not say a word to me. The other lady cutting was helping a lady with 10 bolts of fabric in her cart to be cut. I had one piece of lace to cut and instead of helping me the lady walked to the front of the store to take over cashiering. Are you kidding me.....it would have taken her 3 minutes to cut my lace, but instead she walked away leaving to wait for GOD knows how long for the other lady to finish cutting 10 bolts of fabric. IN OTHER WORDS CUSTOMER SERVICE IS POOR.......and I am sorry if the lady at the cash register needed to go to lunch. She could have waited 3 minutes longer.....no instead I had to wait 15 minutes longer. You also do not have any felting supplies, your lace selection is poor, and so is your wool yarn selection.

Lots of fabrics for cosplay, like chainmail, metal studs mermaid scales. There are always sales going on too. Pretty good selection of beads for jewelry. Spray paint section is a bit lacking. Standard Krylon and Rust-oleum, No Montana branded paint cans or pens. Pretty good selection of zippers, thread, flowers, buttons and tools. Bathrooms, at least the mens restroom was clean, well stocked and handicapped accessible, with several bars to hold onto. Its located in the back left corner behind the cutting counter. I thought that would be pertinent information since its hard not to stay here for a long time. ^_^

When Michaels doesnt have the cosplay material Im looking for, this Jo-Anns is my backup. Plus I love how they have a wide selection of fabric material that I can purchase, take home, and then craft into garments for costumes. I once even even bought a fairly dark red sheet of fabric that nicely completed my Jack of Blades cosplay. Like with Michaels, this place is a requirement to visit if you are a cosplayer living in the greater Portland metro area.

With the exception of season goods its nice to go into a store and find a consistent inventory of products. The staff is friendly and helpful and the store is clean and well stocked. My only complaint would be the way the clearance items are scattered throughout the store though the hunt is half the fun.

Our all-crafting, all-quilting American friend wanted to stop by here for something and to show us what a real fabric shop was all about. Its certainly massive and incredibly well stocked and with very helpful staff. Going on what our friend has said about it I can only give it five stars ;-)
