For some reason my insurance did not go through when I went to refill my pill. The pharm tech (I think) here, Lindsay, explained to me what was going on and suggested that I call my doctor to get it authorized. I did and came back the next day and had exactly the same problem. Lindsay resent the authorization just in case my doctor didnt get it (he did the first time). I came back again the day after and tried to refill my meds, hoping by this time my doctor did his job. Lindsay was ever patient with me, checked the computer file again and informed me that she didnt get the authorization. She called the insurance for me to check to see if the insurance didnt make a mistake. Then she called my doctor herself to find out what happened to the authorization. My doctor forgot to sign it and is not in for the week anymore. So Lindsay explained to me the options I had for my meds (I was completely out) while I waited on the authorization that may not come in today. She was really patient and sweet and then when I thanked her she said she wished she could do more and shes sorry that she couldnt. This was the best pharmacy experience Ive ever had. I felt personally cared for and that matters a lot.

Ive been using this pharmacy for over 2 years after my previous one closed. I struggle every month to get my prescriptions filled. I travel regularly for work and used to have a few week buffer. Now, I dont have a buffer (their errors) and have to manage my travel around getting my prescriptions filled. I used to have all my prescriptions filled so I made one trip a month (previous pharmacy) to the pharmacy and now I average 5 trips (2 because pills arent available when they say they will be). This last month a new young man told me I couldnt get my prescriptions filled until one month after the date of the last fill on the bottle. When I questioned him if this was a new policy he shut me off and told me the only way I could get my pills was to pay cash. One third of the time prescriptions are filled incorrectly and I lose more buffer due to their errors they force me to correct. I used to only worry about my health and now I spend half a month fighting to get my prescriptions filled. They always tell me errors are from my doctors office, but I never had experiences like this at my previous pharmacy.

This pharmacy is giving out misinformation about coverage of birth control. Oregon law (HB3343) mandates that insurers (with few exemptions) provide up to a years coverage of birth control, yet when I called Rite Aid to say my provider had written my prescription for 12 months, I was told I would have to pay out of pocket. I hung up and looked up the text of the law, which is that insurers are required to cover up to 12 months. It is ILLEGAL for insurance companies in Oregon to not cover a 12 month supply of birth control. I called back, cited the law, and said I was concerned that the pharmacy was giving out misinformation, but was told again that insurers arent required to do anything. These pharmacists or technicians clearly have not received training about Oregon laws and are making birth control less accessible. This is an egregious oversight.

This location is the absolute worst. They list hours on their site, and their voice mail says theyre not open. I have to wait at least 20 minutes in line to receive a prescription, then am told that the prescription is not ready yet, after receiving a phone call the the meds ARE ready to be picked up. Its the most frustrating thing in the world. Theres always a long line full of frustrated people like me. Im currently getting nowhere trying to fill a prescription that was called in for me 72 hours ago. Im getting nowhere. As usual. Run, dont walk, to the nearest competition.

The pharmacy here is by far the worst Ive dealt with in Portland. I have lived in Lake Oswego for three years and I had to stop using this place, it just stresses me out. They never have your Rxs on time so my wife and I started just assuming they would be 24 hours later than they said, but thats not even enough time for these guys. You call in your prescription, they say it will be ready by 2:00 pm. You wait a full day knowing it wont be ready, show up the next day at three and sure enough "sorry we havent filled it yet". Are you kidding me!!!!!!!

Experienced very poor service at the pharmacy. I went to pick up my prescription, but they didnt have it and said come back the next day as they had to order it. In fact, they couldnt get it the next day and didnt call to tell me until AFTER my doctors office closed. After calling my doctors office the next day, I had them send an alternate prescription to the pharmacy, which the pharmacy denies having received. I ended up having to go to a different pharmacy after wasting way too much time.

This is the closest pharmacy to home for me. They have everything you would expect to find in a pharmacy and are usually well stocked. Ive found that prescriptions are really expensive, however. Most of the time if I call around I can find prescriptions at a fraction of the price, usually at the Burlingame Fred Meyer. It is however great if you find yourself out of deodorant or need anything youve seen advertised on TV.

Not a fan of this Rite Aid. Big store and wide selection, but prices are very high for basic items (I was looking for a binder). Store is almost always vacant, which is an odd ghost town feel. Most of the workers were uninterested teenagers who were not helpful in the least and more interested in talking on their phone. If youre close to a Target or a Walgreens, I would go there instead, of even a larger grocery store.

I have used a number of pharmacies in the Portland area from grocery stores to big box stores to 24hr pharmacies. I keep coming back to this store mainly due to their staff. They are really busy at this store but Im always impressed by their attitude and how they will go out of their way to help me when I need something faster than scheduled.

While the main Pharmacists are very nice and some have been there a long time, the rest of the staff and the systems themselves have caused so many mistakes that have cost me money, frustration and time over the past 10 years, I am finally going to have to use a different pharmacy.

This pharmacy is so poorly run. They promise prescriptions will be filled within a certain timeline and consistently miss that timeline by 1-2 days. I will be gladly taking my business elsewhere.

Sometimes find what Im looking for, sometimes not. Prices OK to a little high. My drug store shopping has slowly migrated from here to a competing store.
