If you are wanting to see sexual harassment come to the local Safeway on sunnyside, but if not come go to the different one. When I was in my local Safeway I saw something I shouldnt have seen. One employee of male gender grabbed a female coworkers behind. They looked like they where playing around but thats isnt okay what so ever. His name was hunter works said he grabs carts and the female employee was in charge when I asked a worker her name they told me it is chayanne and when I tried asking her for help he would just follow her around. I was trying to see if she was okay but due to Complication I was unable to talk to her about it and I am never shopping at this safeway again. Then when I tried to ask them for help all she was saying was bad words in front of others customers. She didnt want to help me she was more focused on talking to fellow male employees. I think it was her boyfriend or whatever its something you shouldnt be talking about at the job. I was very unhappy with how they can do that in the store and how they let the employee slid with talking to others and not getting there job done. I think the male employee should be fired or watched to see if he is doing anything else that he shouldnt be I will not be going to that Safeway ever again. Unless I know that employee is let go. And the female employee should be fired/ watch due to her not doing her job and being really touchy-feely with the males in the store.

I want to really thank Julie and Aleigha in the Bakery Department. I had purchased a Glutin-Free Cake from Liberated Bakery, in Gresham. When I went to pick up from Liberated Bakery the cake was not at all what I ordered for my Daughters 18th Birthday! There was no decorations, only Happy Birthday, written in brown on a brown frosting! There were no flowers, void of any color, just brown! When I complained they only stated the decorator is gone! I decided to stop at the Safeway by my house in Happy Valley and ask them if they could make a couple of flowers. Thinking I would apply them myself, but after telling them the story. They asked if I had the cake and had me bring in. They made a flower with a stem for the cake and didnt even charge me! Just this little Flower and stem brought the cake to life. These ladies saved the day! All I can say is Thank you for your kindness! Now I know Safeway makes Glutin-free cakes I will call them 1st! Thank you Again Julie and Aleigha!

Rheza works in the deli, she is delightful, kind, personable, and pays close attention to detail. I will only get a sandwich made by her because my experiences with everyone else is no where near as pleasant. Safeway should feel lucky to have such a magnificent employee. I will be coming back thanks to Rheza. Update: had another great experience with Emily h. At the deli! Will keep coming back

The lines are always long, theres no self-checkout option, and its hard to find help on the floor when searching for something, except in produce. I hate the parking lot for the shopping center, which funnels all the traffic toward the store entrance, entangling cars and pedestrians from all directions.

Careful your bread and veggies get smashed. I guess that they just do not think that is important in the training cause every time. New review as of Nov 2014 whats with all the rotten food safeway, Im not sure if they have had registration problems but odd to bring home food to find out its spoiled.

I hate this store. Every time I go in, theres only 2 or 3 registers open, lines to the isles. I rarely go in now a days n when I do its for one or two items. Jus went in today n shocker, long lines n three registers open. Go to Freds n see how long their registers are. They are all OPEN.

Why am I writing this review? Who reads a grocery store review before shopping there? Nonetheless. Great store, always someone around to help. Only downside is between 4-6 the lines can be long - but thats to be expected anywhere in town at that time.

Employees are great! Especially, Sarah, Gabe, Cody, Jed, Andreah and a few others I cant remember the names of. Very helpful and kind! Only downside I find is that some items are not available but its really a small price to pay for the great service!

Im here occasionally out of necessity, but it is definitely not my preferred grocery experience. No pharmacy - are you kidding me? The store itself is pretty small and has a very limited selection.

Fresh produce, wide selection of everything... I love going to this Safeway. Its a bit more pricey than other stores, though, so I keep my visits limited to speciality items.

Over-priced and checkout is always a pain (they really need to install self-checkout. However, they do have a solid selection, especially their deli and bakery sections.

During the day I never have a problem. At late evening and night sometimes the lines get long bc one or two registers are open. But thats to be expected in the evening.
