They have a wide variety of craft items and a great selection of beads and florals. While I have had some pleasant experiences with the staff overall they are a mixed bag. Generally pretty listless and not very well informed. After not finding a regular craft item in its usual place I was told it was out of stock, when in fact it had just been moved. There is one older woman who works in their floral dept. I have witnessed being extremely rude and condescending to customers on several occasions. I was so disgusted by her treatment of a mother with a toddler that I inquired when she usually worked so I could be sure to avoid her. Apparently she has worked there for many years, maybe it is time for her to retire.

My company chose Michaels to do our mats on our recent re-framing project. We started the project in the middle of july and it is now the middle of August, we still havent completed the project due to errors in Michaels framing department. They made errors in sizes or mats and number of mats ordered 3 different times. The whole thing is a huge mess and I will never be going back for their services.

The people who work here are friendly, the store is always clean and (mostly) tidy. Sometimes items are under stocked and it can be difficult to find an employee to help if you have questions. But the checkstand line always moves quickly.

I try to not go here. The staff, when you can find them, seem to hate it there. I can only believe that this is due to upper management, because, its not 1 employee, but all of them, for awhile now. I prefer the Gresham location

this comes up as the wrong location...it should be in south east portland and it comes up in SW portlad. there is no Michaels arts and crafts where GMaps says it is, its about 15 miles away on the other side of the river

While not the nicest looking or organized craft stores, the staff is very helpful and friendly, particularly Cyndi who runs the floral departlment. They also have great sales, though theyre not always labeled.

Do you want to decorate something, sew something, create something, paint something? Then you must visit this store. Not advisable if you have ADHD or are easily led astray by shiny objects. I like this place.

As far as crafts go this place has everything you could ask for but the prices are kind of steep and its kind of hard to pinpoint what exactly youre looking for without getting help unless you know the store

Terrible service in framing. They outsourced to another company even though its still Michaels. After waiting for over 1 hour, they wanted to charge me $50 for nails. This used to be $10.

They never have Copic markers in stock. And the employees dont even know when the shipment comes in or when theyll be in stock again. Its frustrating when you really need them.

Standard craft store, should have anything you need, and loads of christmas supplies months early. Unusually large photo framing section in the back of store.
