I wish I didnt have to give it a star. I love Ulta, but this one on 71st has the worse customer service. Not only did NO ONE offer to help me the entire hour I was there, but when I went and asked for help, the man and the woman behind the counter both had attitudes. It was bad enough that I actually had to stand in line just to get to someone to help me or even speak to me. I thought it was that they had horrible customer service, but then as I was walking through the store, I saw one of the employees (who had walked pass me on more that one occasion) happily go up to one of the customers and offer to help her. I actually needed help because I couldnt find what I was looking for. Most the of the workers refused to talk to me and when I would come toward them, they seemed to walk away. So I wonder what was so different about me and the other customers. Oh yeah, my skin color. I wasnt white.

I have been at this newer location across from Woodland Hills several times now & each time I felt like I was inconveniencing the staff. Forget it if you need personal assistance, no one is there to ask if you want help. You would think they would make sure they have people who can help you get the right shade for their expensive foundation at least. The lighting is terrible & they are rude at check out too. Last time I had a coupon on my phone & the girl quipped that it was not a good coupon to use. It came from their website, I knew it was good & it was not expired. While I was there a month ago a girl came in & asked a staffer if they carried Clinique. She said no they did not. I then went home & looked at a flier I got in the mail & sure enough, Clinique products were on the cover! . I will start buying online from now on & never again from that Ulta location.

Wishing I could give less stars! Im younger, with piercings and tattoos. Went in with a few friends to pick out a couple of gifts (it was my birthday& they offered to buy me something). Manager came up to me and accused me of stealing previously, which I had not. She was very aggressive and told the two other girls I was with (not tattooed) that "I hope YOU TWO are doing well." Laughed at her face, put the items down and we left without getting anything. If she had even given a simple apology I probably still would have purchased those items. Instead I purchased the same items online. From seeing these reviews, I can now see Im not the only one. Very quick to label and stereotype. Ill be going to the 71st and Olympia store from now on!

If youre a minority, AVOID this location. No one greets me or ask me if I need assistance BUT they do not hesitate to watch me while I look around, specifically at the fragrances. Once I was in there looking for foundation and making sure it matched my skin tone and the associate was pretty much rushing me to make a purchase, so I would leave. By the way it was 2:00 pm, so Its not like it was closing time. I guess they were getting tired of watching me. Lastly, I came here another time and got my eyebrows waxed. The esthetician did a bad job. No I did not leave a tip. The only reason I was coming to this location is because its close to where I live. Im willing to literally go the extra mile to other locations.

God forbid you cant find a specific product after wandering around for 20 minutes and no one offering any assistance. If you do happen to go find an employee and ask, they will be rude and unhelpful and just say its on the other side of the store (which is where you wandered around for 20 minutes). Once I finally found the product, there was a long line and only one cashier, who repeatedly asked for assistance and got about as much help from the other employees as I did. By far the worst Ulta Ive ever been to. Its worth the drive to go to the other locations or, ya know, Sephora always has excellent customer service.

Worst customer service ever! Could not get help from anyone. I left without spending my hard earned money at a place that doesnt believe in customer service. I went straight to one of Ultas competitors and received exceptional customer service which in turn got me to spend my money there, thank you Sephora for giving a damn about your customers. Customer service goes a very long way, this particular Ulta store could take a very good lesson on decency and quality customer service.

I gave one star because zero was not an option. I went to get side bangs, yes just side bangs, and I hate them. Theyre chunky and not layered. Paying $60 for bangs is ridiculous anyways but paying that amount for a job that I could have hacked myself, is infuriating. I refuse to go back to have anyone fix them because it was a "master" hair dresser that messed them up in the first place. I will NEVER go back there and will try to save anyone else that tries.

Meh. I went for an eyebrow wax Sunday and Im usually really impressed with Benefit Brow Bar but this time I was not. I was there for 15 minutes tops and she messed my brows up. I have red bumps all around them and hairs she shouldve plucked but didnt. They even hurt 2 days later. So disappointed. I wish I didnt leave a tip but it feels like I had too when I went to pay. I paid 21$ for bumps and funky eyebrows. Dont go here. I wont be back for my brows.

Went in without expecting to be greeted because I was on a mission. However, I couldnt help notice how cold and prickly it was. There was no smiling faces, the staff walked around like mummys with an empty bag hanging from 1 arm, and the lady at checkout had a frown the entire time. I dont think it has anything to do with being a minority as one of tge reviews stated, I think its a case of unhappy staff which seems to me like a management issue.

Love the store itself, great products, great variety. The only drawback us the number of employees and the fact that they will not leave you alone to shop! Each of the 20 or so people working ask you about 5 times each if you are doing ok. Its worse than the Buckle at the mall. Do they work on commission or something? Its very off-putting and made me leave before I was ready and without making a purchase. STOP IT...Just Stop!

I LIKE THE LAYOUT OF THE STORE, BUT I WENT IN WITH MY 5 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER AND EVEN SHE SAID OUT-LOUD WHY WONT ANYONE HELP US. I ASKED FOR HELP AND WAS IGNORED. I WAITED FOR 5 OR 6 MINS WHILE I WATCHED STAFF DOING OTHERS THINGS LIKE 1/2 OF THEM WORKING THE OTHER 1/2 TALKING AMONG THEM SELVES. I TOOK MY CHRISTMAS SHOPPING ELSEWARE

After a weird haircut from the 41st & Yale location I thought Id try this location. I should have known after my first attempt to make an appointment--I was left on hold & had to call back later. The front desk was vacant. When I was checked in & then had to wait 30 min w/o explanation---I just left, Im done w/ Ulta salon.
