Worst experience Ever! STAY AWAY AT ALL COST. You will end up spending twice as much money trying to save a buck with their so called "deals". I fell for the buy 3 tires get 1 free. No one ever said I had to buy a service pack until after it was paid for. This is my fault I know but still a little dishonest. So I got a new set of tires and they sold me on an alignment because they said it was off. First of all when I drove my car away the steering wheel was 15 degrees off of center to drive straight. Absolutely ridiculous. I called right away because I had to get to an appointment and could not take it back at that time. They said they would take care of it but it would take an hour! Well I had to bring it back later. So a week later I take it back in to get it fixed and I ask for my money back on the alignment. The manager refused and said they are fixing it. But it was another two hours and a trip that I had to make for their mistake. He continued to disagree about the refund. I asked him why it happened and then the worker came in before even looking at the car and said " I did the alignment on that car and it was perfect I am not looking at it again". I then reminded him that the steering wheel was 15 degrees off. He then cursed and went back into the shop. The manager did not even blink his eye at this behavior. He then started to explain to me that the computer alignment was broken the day I came in and was giving incorrect readings. Well now I had ammo and said "so you told me I needed an alignment with a machine that could not read an alignment properly?" He then took the money out of the cash register and threw it on the counter aggravated and turned his back and started doing something else. This place is awful. Now to top it off I have still not received my rebate I sent in more than two months ago. Their website says it was sent 25 days ago and when I try to contact the rebate number the line goes dead. How is this company still in business. Live and learn from my experience! DONT GO HERE FOR ANYTHING!

Where do I even begin? Car wouldnt start so we had it dropped of on Thursday at noon. They said you need a new alternator i t will be ready at 5. 5 oclock comes around we havent heard anything. We call them to see whats up and they said we ran into a problem it will be ready in the morning we will call you. 11am next morning no one has called so I call again and after a 20 minute hold a guy answers saying, "What you need?" I said I need to check the status of my car and he said, "I got a lot of cars I dont know which one is you." Well Ill tell you I said and he put me on hold 5 or 6 minutes later he comes back and says it will be ready in about 5 hours. We will call you. Again now 6 hours had past no one called. So I did once again having to hold for twenty minures. They said the same thing we ran into some problems it will be ready in the morning. So now its Saturday and they didnt call all day so at 7:30 before they close at 9 I called and they said well we fixed the alternator but we screwd up the alignment really bad and we wont be able to fix that for about 3 more days. But they said its drivable just come back Tuesday and well fix your alignment. We pay and walk out the door, I go to the car put the key in the ignition and boom, didnt start and made the same damn noise it did when we brought it in. After 3 days of it being there they figurw d out in 5 minutes with us there that it was the battery. Now the scumbag manager Joe who wasnt there and when the manager on duty called him he refused to speak to us says we have to pay for the alternator even after they ran tests on the old one and figured out it was perfectly fine. Were in the midst of disputing this. Dont waste ur time and money because Joe their manager is a coniving thief and will tell u something is wrong even when its fine. The only bright spot was Athena the night manager who was very sweet and apologetic.

They jack you around. I called to question price to have 2 drive belts replaced because they were squealing on startup. Larry said $150. When I arrived, I said 2 belts replaced and he put on paper $150 and they said 1hr 20min tops so I said I would go for a walk. My car was the only car in the bay. Came back before the time up and they hadnt even popped the hood and were working on others cars. when I asked Larry he said hed check and came back saying he had just started on it, then I see the guy walk over and pop the hood. Then, when he gets the belts off, he comes out to see if I wanted the third one replaced and says it took so long because I have 3 belts, I said no, it took so long because you didnt even pop the hood until later... 2hrs later its done, I was there 5hrs, had not had lunch yet and the cost was going to be over $300. I told Larry the form I signed said $150, he said I had 2 extra belts replaced and I said no only one..after arguing with him, he charged$257. The next day, the belts squealed when starting. I thought maybe itll go away because I did not want to deal with them again. Out of curiousity, I called the other PepBoys in town to see what it cost and he gave me the correct price. I contacted a Toyota dealer and they said I should go back to them to fix it since the work was done not long ago, so I, called and made appt. Larry schedules me for 5:45 in 2 days on a weekday, I get there and am told no master mechanics there, they cant fix anyting, only look at it. So I scheduled for next morning and put it online so it would be on my account. Manager was tacky saying youre the one with 2 appts and I said I wanted it on my account. Found out all 3 belts needed tightening, he said that happens when you put belts on they can stretch...I really wonder if the first guy did it right... I will not go back there again. They have lost a customer.

I have used Pep Boys only twice and was treated well each time. The first time was in the spring to have new tires put on. The man at the desk was respectful, helpful, and thorough. But the second visit just this past Monday has committed me to being a customer for life. I am terrible at car maintenance and had not had regular oil changes. My car was running on a drop of oil basically. I stopped to pick up my children and my cousin gave me three bottles of oil to make it to Walmart. I poured the first in but the second came out red. He had given me transmission fluid and I didnt notice because the bottles were the same. Needless to say I prayed all the way to Walmart after I called to check their hours only to be told they were no longer taking cars. I headed to Pep Boys and was told they were no longer taking cars but could do it in the morning. I was upset and stressed. I had no way to work and school the next day or to take my kids to school. I sat in my car trying to figure out what to do when the cashier came to ask why I needed an oil change so badly right then. I explained what happened. He asked me to come in and they would get it done that night. He said he didnt want me to even try running the car with transmission fluid in the oil. He told the mechanic to stay and flush the engine. No one acted upset to stay late to help me and it was done quickly. They were polite and helpful the whole way. Pep Boys blessed me by being more concerned about people than policies and I will be going back when I need something for my car.
