The total stars I have them is divided between my experiences. The store location near me I will give 4 stars. The Online store however I would give 2 stars! The stores near me tend to me nice and the staff friendly. I love the selection of books at Barnes and Noble, the prices, and as a member the coupons. In this day and age who doesnt like saving money? HOWEVER the Online experiences I have had recently was such a headache producer. The customer service online was just plain incompetent, and I hate saying that about people, but when I receive a book that is damaged it should not take a month and a half of me going back and forth to fix the issue and also not to mention when you order online you get charged once and when they decide they need to separate your order they charge you for each book again separately and then once as they are all shipped then they cancel out your original order that was charged. Confusing? Just a tad. My advice is to write down what you ordered, if they charged you the full amount, and anything else they screw up. Their online shopping is totally confusing.

Barnes and Noble usually has most any type of book/reading material available for you. Well the day I was there, they really disappointed me. First of all I had picked up some quarter books ranging from 1930s to present date. Well I actually needed a total of three of the same years per booklet. One of the workers had been passing by, so I had asked if there was any possibility that there might be more in the back or somewhere else. He told me that what they had was out on the shelves. He never offered me the possibility of ordering them and having them shipped to me or the store. Then I asked him if they had anything pertaining to Heroin or Cocaine abuse/therapy reading materials. He took me over to the psychology part of the store and showed me the AA book and fold me that is all they had. By this time I thought this was a wasted trip, and went to check out. My cashier took the time to look up what I was looking for and suggested a few things they could order for me and have it shipped to me or the store for me to pick up at a later time.

If you want to go to a bookstore where they do not know anything other than what just came out, this is the place. They didnt even know what Dantes Divine Comedy is, thats right, Dantes Inferno they did not know of. How do you not know classics? It is a terrible business with the most incompetent, pretentious, and snobby employees I have been in contact with. Go here if you like overpriced books and a horrible atmosphere. Edit 11/17/2016: I had to call while inside the store to receive help to find a book that they ended up being out of. I tried to give store a chance but they are useless. How do they consider themselves a bookstore when half the inventory is knick knacks and Starbucks. No stars if possible.

This isnt the location I usually visit but its close to my house. I checked the website for a certain item and it was listed as "in stock." I went over there and it was not in stock. Also, it smells really bad in there. Its so bad I could not spend much time there because of the smell. Even though they didnt have what I wanted I probably would have stuck around and got a few books but I couldnt stand the stench so I left empty handed. The Fallen Timbers location is much nicer, cleaner, doesnt stink and has a huge selection of books in the sale/clearance section. I will drive the extra miles to go there next time.

This is the only large bookstore in the city of Toledo. There are other but theyre in the suburbs. The store has a nice ambiance. However, if you want anything beyond bestsellers and recent books generating a bit of buzz, thsi B&N doesnt offer much of a selection. There are a lot of games, toys and knick knack. The cafe is nice too. However, for serious book shopping I dont go here often.

They bend over backwards to help customers . No matter what challenge I throw at them, they always solve the problems !! I call in a lot for special items and they always hold them for me or call me promptly when the item is in. Wonderful store to do business with !!!

One of the last brick and mortar book stores in the area. You might be able to find a book a little cheaper online, but there is a lot to be said for the experience of being able to browse the ailes, have a cup of coffee, and hang out with friends.
