Today was my first time ever trying to sell anything at a pawn shop. The young lady who helped me said her name was Alex and was very helpful and is the one deserving of this star. I brought in some jewelry and discovered she couldnt take any of my costume jewelry. Ok, no problem. We went through everything together and weighed out what I had in gold and silver. I decided to not take the deal. I then asked her to take a look at my wedding rings because I was curious what they would be worth. She examined them and since Ive been wearing them non-stop for the past 9 years, theyve worn down. I stated up front that they were not a matching set. She tested it and my engagement ring was testing between 18-22K. She then asked her manager Chris to take a look at it and here is where my experience changed... He started looking closer at them and tried to tell me it was a matching set. Um, no, I even said theyre not, I bought them separately. He took another look and realized they werent. I understand in the pawn business youre supposed to make something seem undesirable where in another setting the item would be considered unique or limited edition. I get that, I didnt come in expecting to get rich. What I did expect was to be treated with some respect. My ring has a yellow princess cut diamond set in white gold with regular diamonds around the band. Chris was making it clear he didnt want to buy my ring, saying he didnt like anything about it. No worries, I wasnt going to sell it, I was just curious. I asked why and he said it looked like dirty dishwater... You crossed the line there Chris, why would you say that to a customer?! Just because you dont personally care for it, doesnt mean you have the right to insult someone trying to do business with you. As a community member, Im extremely disappointed. Reading the other reviews, I definitely did not have the same experience with Chris. As a business owner myself, Im disgusted.

The young lady working the counter was very nice and informative in regard to a few items I was attempting to sale( despite that I ended up turning there offer down ) the older eccentricity dressed fat guy with leather vest was clearly shady and assumes anyone trying to sale is desperate, I attemptted to sale him an item that was valued between $400 to $600, I expected at least 1/3 . The guy walked up while the female employees was dealing with me and cut her off mid-sentence, and began to tell me he would give me $80 for it and urged me to take a loan from him with the item as collateral, I almosted laughed, and my wife actually did, with that I decided I was good, I came out of interest , wont be going back. I suggest not selling here they are used to dealing with crack head prices.

I have dealt with Chris at Levs pawn shop for years, this location is the best, great selection great products. I try to visit at least twice a month to buy something.Chris is very helpful and knowledgeable about all the products. If youre looking for a bargain and great products go to levs on Brice Rd. and ask for Chris you will be amazed at the service you get!

This was my first experience doing business at a pawn shop so I was pretty nervous. I met Chris and he cleaned my ring and told me how to easily clean jewelry. We settled on a fair price and it was a painless process. The store was nice and clean. So I would definitely do business there again!

It was great ! I went in because of the response to a previous review and let me just say they are all very friendly and helpful and helped my husband and I out greatly with our loan and by the way "fat guy in a vest " his name is John hes not fat and he is a super nice guy !!!

I would not recommend buying anything from this place. They have terrible customer service and really dont know a thing about their products. Stay away from Chris down at the brice road location. This guy doesnt know his ass from his head!!
