When I first started frequenting Last Exit Books a few years ago, it was a smaller bookshop occupying just the left storefront area in the building. Regardless, it was a wonderland of all things good to read, with no "dead wood" items (the books no one wants to read that wind up on the shelves at poorly curated bookshops - not the case at Last Exit). A short while ago, Last Exit expanded significantly, taking over the larger back shop area while continuing to occupy the left shop area, connecting the two. Now, Last Exit is even more a community hub for readers and writers, holding readings. The selection has also expanded to include vinyl and the occasional vintage turntable in addition to local books, bargain books, graphic novels, comics, CDs and DVDs, antique and collectible books, and the usual wide selection of excellent fiction and nonfiction items. If you have time, stop in and find your next great read!

The wide variety of books, especially somewhat less mainstream selections, makes this one of my favorite books stores to find interesting reads. Ive been to many large book stores, but since they sell mostly new, popular books, its difficult to find books on topics most people wouldnt be searching for, like Shintoism or a discussion on Byzantine military strategy throughout its history. Its also exciting to find older books that are out of print, but still hold useful or at least engaging content.

Great books, plenty of comfy furniture, great prices! I got a hardcover Carl Hiasen book for $4, and there are plenty of $1 paperbacks. Even new or popular books are less expensive than they would be at Barnes and Noble. Theres also a pretty sweet record collection. All the staff are friendly and helpful, and good at recommending books in genres youre unfamiliar with. Its a great community spot as well, with open mic lit nights every month ^__^

The owner really knows his stuff (which books you might be interested in & where to find them) and its always a friendly environment. I love this place and cancelled my amazon account to force myself to buy local. You cant beat their prices really and the selection is great. I cant say enough good things about it. Its like a secret lair of loveliness with various honeypots of knowledge laying about. Very sexy stuff.

An absolute treasure of a book store and adjacent coffee shop. Delightful place to explore, full of discoveries and guided by a real sense of literature. The coffee shop is perfect for chats and meetings: you can actually hear what your companion is saying. Many choices of refreshments and delightful desserts . Little hand painted sign in the coffee shop speaks to the heart: "This place was built by poets."

Kent is so lucky to have this store. With all the news about the death of small bookstores, Last Exit is proving them wrong. The selection is incredible, in books, music, movies, even comics. Everything from mass-market reads to obscure titles, and the owner is terrific. Before you go to a big box book store or order on line, check out Last Exit Books.

This book store is by far my favorite I have been to. It has wonderful pricing, and a GREAT selection of books to choose from. Many of which are new, if not gently used. The management is really nice, and will hold books for you. I would recommend to all that love to read, and think it is defiantly worth taking the trip to.

Amazing selection of books for exceptionally low prices. Sorted very nicely by author. Wide variety of books, movies, CDs, comics, etc., even childrens books. Popular books and books that Ive never heard of. Great customer service. Overall, I love this place and have no trouble supporting this local business!

My absolute favorite bookstore of all time. I try to stop in at least once a month and see whats new! No other bookstore will ever hold a place in my heart like this one! I have accumulated so much world knowledge because of the books Ive obtained from Last Exit. Highly recommended.

This quaint bookstore/cafe is the best place to go and get lost in an alternate reality as you delve into youre, or one of their many, books. All while you sip away one of the amazing beverage options offered at the cafe. Their hot chocolate is to die for!

Prices are great, especially for used hardcovers. Nice selection of books and vinyl. Staff is also helpful. No computer lookup on books, but the staff knows what they have.
