Beautiful store, great location, but of the three employees we spoke to while shopping, two acted like they were doing us a favor by speaking to us. My daughter asked for help finding three books from her summer reading list, & the employee started doing the "speed it up" hand motion while she was talking, then cut her off after the second title, saying, "Theyre probably all in the same place," & walked off. (They werent.) Then my son picked out a book to purchase & I noticed that some of the pages had been messed up by the printer. There wasnt another copy on the floor, so we started toward the register to let them know that it was messed up, & the employee there blurted out, "I hope hes being careful with that book." I pointed out that he was taking it to show them it was messed up, & her tune changed then. Only the sweet lady at the checkout seemed to have gotten her Cheerios pee-free that morning. If the employees were friendlier, I would definitely give them 5 stars.

l. I neglected to check my receipt for accuracy until I was home. I was overcharged for a book. I called the store and the manager told me I needed to return to the store with not only my receipt, but all the merchandise. Seriously, very inconvenient. I called the 800 number and they defended the manager. Just lost my business. Very poor customer support. Very disappointed with the entire experience. Cashier was joking that he would ring up my catalog from pottery barn if I let him. I guess he was serious. I will not be returning there or to any other Barnes and Noble store. Beware of any errors made on their part. You will carry the brunt of the correction. Really surprised by this one. Sad, the store was beautiful.

Of the Barnes and Nobles in Jacksonville, this is by far the nicest. Of the bookstores in the area, this is also probably the nicest store for new books. Its clean, well laid out and has a large variety of things to look at. They have a fairly large selection of non-book related items as well for those looking for specialty items such as collector toys, board games, and leather journals. They have a very nice selection of Paperblanks notebooks which are hard to find at other stores. With bookstores disappearing all over the country, it is nice to find a few B&Ns that have survived such as this one. I could walk around and peruse for hours.

Typical Barnes & Noble: cool, calm, relaxed & totally casual. ...and of course - the typical store layout (which is a stroke of tactical engenuity) with all the expected book categories in all the expected aisles, which as usual are extra wide so as to maintain a comfortable browsing experience - avoiding awkward bump-ins & "oops, excuse mes" with other patrons, thus creating the perfect "no-rush" experience... This locations B&N store, is a nice familiar face, especially since the in-store retailer is of a dying breed now. It wont let you down.

The store and staff seem nice enough, but good luck finding parking! I have been here many times, and on a good day (i.e. Tuesday at 10am) I can find parking in a lot across the street or in the Dillards lot behind the store. On a bad day (i.e. Friday, Saturday) I have been completely unable to find anything within a reasonable walking distance. Im actually online today because I was looking for a different B&N to go to since this one is practically inaccessible. I really miss the old Atlantic blvd. location!

HORRIBLE, IRRESPONSIBLE!! Be very careful that you dont get hurt while shopping here. They will treat you like garbage, refuse to file an incident report which will make it so they are not responsible for what happens. Will never step foot in any of their stores again and advise anyone else to be very cautious. Please dont support a company that does not accept responsibility for their own failures resulting in permanent disability for someone.

It was my fault for not being thorough but I had a bad shopping experience when, during checkout at the local store, I learned that store pricing is not the same as online pricing. I understand why B&N would want to be price competitive online, but it surprised me that they would intentionally charge customers significant more for actually shopping in the brick & mortar location.

My daughter and I where coming to this location at least twice a week, tonight I was walking her through the toy section and two older girls where playing and made a mess of that area. My daughter and I stopped to help clean it up and the women on staff in the section assumed it was my child and was very rude. We will not be returning I will purchase my childs books off Amazon.

There are these magazines missing ; Life &Style, The Closer, OK, Intouch and Star! I use to look forward to coming and just gorging on coffee and entertainment magazines and now I have to look at other mags Im not interested in. Love the coffee and the workers are nice but man there needs to be more entertainment magazines for ladies, not just US Weekly and People!!

I went about a week ago and I bought a journal and one of the workers was very kind and told me some advice about writing 10 things that made me laugh in it. It always makes me smile when I get to have experiences like that of just a welcoming stranger. Thank you if you are reading this! And of course barnes and noble is always a very nice and clean place. :)

I like this location. Sometimes it can be hard to navigate it because the different departments can be a bit oddly shaped, causing confusion as to where say fiction ends and classics begin. Just a bit of constructive criticism. The staff are friendly and theres a starbucks in the store.

This place is really nice to chill. You can get a quick read while drinking some fresh coffee in there loung. They have many varieties of books from children books to novels. They even sell comics and mangas for fans on that type of genre. Definitely love coming here.

Went there yesterday to look for some social media books, I had a great experience, I was able to find some good books, a great magazine and then the cashier and I struck up a pleasant conversation. Brick and Mortar is not dead when you get good service!

Love Barnes and Noble. Just wish this wasnt in the heart of the St. Johns Town Center. Traffic getting to it is horrible. Finding parking once you get there is even worse.

Staff is mostly helpful and it has a wide array of books that you may need. The whole place is well stocked. Not very clean, though, especially in the bathrooms.

With brick and mortar book stores going the way of the dodo its nice to have a large store in the Towncenter. Starbucks inside and lots of events for kids.

I love it. Nothing like getting in the store and feel like you would like to live longer to be able to read every book they have. Very nice place.

Did not like the attitude from employee(s), though they do have a very large choice of books and some that I cant find even in other b & ns.
