I graduated many years ago from what was then Brunswick Jr. College. My daughter is in her third year in the early childhood education program and my son will be a freshman this fall in the pre-biological program as he is going for a masters in pharmacy at Coastal. The college is great. Class sizes are small enough where the instructors can make time for the students that need him or her. There is a small town atmosphere with many of the shops and cultures of a medium size community. It isnt Atlanta or Jacksonville but then you dont have the dangers of those either. The beach being 30 minutes away doesnt hurt. The local jet port is small but very accommodating. The new dorms are very nice. Brunswick doesnt have a solid local public transit system so be prepared to have some form of transportation to get them to the mall of grocery store which are 3-4 miles away. There are a number of churches within walking distance of many different denominations. The folks in the financial aid office are obviously overwhelmed and could occasionally use a snickers bar. But having gone to a number of universities and worked at others, that is unfortunately the norm. They often have to delivery the federal governments bad news. Dont avoid this hidden jewel of Southeast Georgia for that reason. Do your home work ahead of time on funding and make an appointment to "walk in" and meet with them. Youll find the ladies prepared and pleasant. And they will help you find the money to go to school. They have really helped both of my children. Wonderful location, great folks, several brand new buildings and programs, cafeteria food is awesome and they prepare the kids for a the transition that is about to take place. It is more than just an education. It is truly a transformation..... Ronald E. Ham - IT Director SP Fiber Technologies

I would not recommend this college. I have been attending for almost three years, and I have not had a very good experience. Financial aid office doesnt help you. They do not communicate with the rest of the school. So if you have problems ..dont even try to talk with them. They dont inform you if you are dropped from your classes. The ladies that answer the phones 95% of the time are very rude. They talk to you like you are uneducated. Their job is to help you, but they act like it is a burden to answer your question...or they will answer and question with a question ( have you done this or done that ...have you talked with this person or that person ) there is about 5 really good people who will actually help you uv the entire college campus. I highly recommend you check out other colleges. It is frustrating to go here. It made me not want to attend college ..when I got super frustrated with them. ( of course I continued) but it is ridiculous.

The college is a decent school, older but still well kept but I hope you dont want any help trying to enroll in classes or ask about financial aid because the women that answer the phones are some of the rudest people I have ever had to deal with. They treat you like you are a idiot for not already knowing the answer to your question. I was signed up for summer classes but decided not to attend this college after all, after speaking with one of the ladies from the financial aid department.

I have never been a student at this college, but I would go there to study everyday from 2007 to 2010. I love their tutors. Theyre are incredibly helpful, especially if youre a high school student. Their staff is very friendly and know how to treat you like one of their own. Your time will be well-spent if you decide to go to this school. It might be a small city, but youll find friends for a lifetime. I know I have from those that graduated in 2008 to those who are to graduate in 2014.

Nice campus, great teachers, they really help you out individually. Only problem are the rules, theyre strict with the no smoking/ drinking thing. Luckily their are good bars and clubs near campus :)

Great college! Ive worked and been a student for two years now. The only rough area is in Financial aid, but overall a great, friendly, college.
