If I could give negative stars I would. Unfortunately, my husband found the exact car he was looking for at Ricart. On Thursday evening, he arrived at the dealership to test drive the "Certified" used vehicle and ended up purchasing it. He drove off the lot after 8pm to bring the car home. Not even 12 hours later, on Friday morning after dropping our son off at school, the dashboard lit up with every warning light possible, power steering went out and car went dead. Ricart offered to tow it back and have it repaired, but honestly I was no longer comfortable with the vehicle, or Ricarts "Certified" used claim. I wanted to cancel the sale and get our trade in back. That was not an option. Since Ricart wants you to LOVE your purchased vehicle, they offer a 72 hour exchange option. The paperwork states this exchange can be made for ANY vehicle at their dealership...however, its not clear that this only applies to exchange used for used cars. You cannot exchange used to new. Considering the inconvenience of a dead newly purchased car, missed work due to it, and NOW spending our Saturday back at Ricart trying to find a comparable vehicle, I had hoped Ricart would have gone a bit above and beyond for us. NOPE!!! We were unable to find a comparable vehicle and decided to allow them to fix the car. We had to stand firm that we wanted a tow truck to get the car that day. FAR too much of our time was wasted dealing with Ricarts mistake. They said they wanted to make it right, but certainly at their convenience and on their terms...not ours. A small attempt was made to get us a rental car (per our request) from the Enterprise located at Ricart, however it closes at noon on Saturday (and I honestly think this was just a "show" to make it appear they were trying). On Monday afternoon they brought our repaired car to my husbands office. Not sure how a car inpected & “Certified” needs a battery and alternator replaced 12 hours after purchase! Then, its laughable how Ricart ended up returning the car with less than a quarter tank of gas. See, they sold it like that and told my husband to come back for a fill up since the gas pumps were closed the night when he bought it. So, they had the vehicle at their dealership and didnt have the courtesy to fill up the tank after that had been promised at purchase. Also...pretty scary that we were able to open the navigation system in the car and find the previous owners address & routes! I just found the car we traded in on Ricart’s website!!! Hilarious that...1. We originally asked to cancel the sale Friday morning after the car broke down, and wanted our trade in back. We were given the run around and ultimately told by manager Edwin that the car had already gone to auction....And 2. My husband had forgotten his prescription sunglasses in the traded in car. We asked multiple times and people if they could get the glasses out of the car for us. No one ever came through…and now we find the car is sitting RIGHT on the lot! Unbelievable and NEVER AGAIN! I will make sure EVERYONE I know hears about this experience! Save yourself from an experience like ours and shop somewhere else!

I have purchased three cars at Ricart Automotive and was always satisfied with the service and how I was treated. In late August of this year I purchased a used car for me and my fiancé. I was treated well and was offered at the time a great extended warranty which I was told started covering anything from the minute I walked out the door and covered the car "bumper to bumper". The next day after purchasing the car my fiancé and me knew something was wrong with the car, we just had a feeling. In two week the reverse heat of the transmission would not work. I immediately contacted a dealership in Columbus that serviced imports to have the car looked at and be repaired. I was told the gear package was in need of repair and my extended warranty would not cover the repair because the service was needed within a 90 grace period. I had no idea that there was a grace period and immediately contacted Ricart. I some with Cass Powers since he sold me this awesome warranty. He apologized numerous times for making the mistake of telling me wrong information about the warranty and what it covered. He indicated he was going to make everything right for me. After numerous messages left for him and no return calls I knew that the situation was going nowhere. I contacted Ricart Automotive and asked to speak with Cass Powers immediate supervisor, I was directed to Brad Summercamp. I left 2 messages and again no return call from him. I decide def to email the product specialist who helped me on the day I went to Ticary in search of a car. He took my frustration and definite unhappiness about how I was being treated and ignored to the general manager and again Cass Powers. In the meantime I had my car repaired and the cost was over $2600 dollars that I had to pay for. I received an email saying I would be hearing from Cass or the general manager very soon as they wanted me to be a happy customer. Still no contact with them. I contacted the gentleman who had helped last evening and made him aware nobody had been in contact with me and he said he would be sure someone contacted me. Still no contact. I just got the car back from the dealership who repaired the transmission last week for yet another repair. An intake line that supplies the engine with oil was damaged causing oil pressure to be low. Another $800 repair my extended warranty did not cover. Beware of Ricart especially if you are purchasing a used car. I was lied to and have been disrespected and treated as if I were stupid. I have been discriminated against because I am female. Ricart does not care about their customers. If they did they would be in touch with me. Do not buy a care from this dealership. They want to take your money, make you feel like you are getting peace of mind with a great extended warranty when you actually are getting a broken car with a worthless warranty that gets you nothing but $4000+ in repair bills. Beware!!

Price was fair, car was in better shape than same models at two other large Columbus-area dealers and Nate the sales guy was fast and didnt waste my time with typical used car sales guy B.S. Once Nate realized I was a serious buyer and just needed to evaluate this specific car, we were full throttle toward the finish line, and I appreciated that. For the test ride, he handed me the keys and said, "take it out as long as you want." There was no prescribed route or time limit. As for the car, it presented very well. It ran strong and performed as expected when asked to accelerate past the point of reasonable traction (sorry, Nate). It was clean and had no strange noises or vibrations. Im surprised at the number of large, big-name dealers who dont seem to properly detail, or even vacuum, their late-model used cars. I get that this is a lot of work, but Ricart apparently can pull it off; this car was spotless. A couple other cars that I drove at other dealerships of the same age (2013) and miles (around 40k) were filthy and, even more troubling, vibrated almost to the point of a safety concerns. Either I was the first one to drive those cars (doubtful) or they just didnt care. I forget the name of the finance guy, but he was just as quick. Of course, he pushed the extended warranty pretty hard, but thats his job. Once we went through the motions and I said "no" the proverbial three times, he whipped through the paperwork in a flash and I was out of there. Its important to understand that buying a car, especially a used one, is a two-way street. Often when people have bad experiences, its because they didnt know what they wanted or what they could afford when they walked into the dealership. I arrived at Ricart knowing exactly what I wanted, with experience shopping this model and with financing already set up and a down payment ready to go. I cant comment on what type of experience youll have if you go in unprepared, or work with a different sales rep, but if you have your business in order and expectations properly set, Ricart and Nate the sales guy are a solid option.
