1st Visit: I walked up to an associate who was having a personal conversation with a staffer. When she decided to acknowledge me, she did so by saying, "WHAT!?" After noting my facial expression she quickly said, "What can I do for you...." With a tinge or irritation as I clearly interrupted her conversation. 2nd Visit: I needed assistance in one of the department. I was going to purchase two of the furnishings and a drawer set, but the only one on the floor was damaged, probably by a customer attempting to lift it alone. I had to find someone who stated they would find someone, who later never came. When I finally was able to get someone to help me her response was, "Well I dont know what you want, if you want to buy it just take it up front. They can help you there...." Last Visit: Forgetful as I am sometimes, I hadnt realized until I was rang out that I needed to stop at my bank first. (Savings account separate from checking to avoid over spending :) ) Because of this, I was literally short 2.85! I needed for the associate to remove one of my ground beefs from the cart. My cart all in all was at a value of a little over 600.00! When the manager approached she made sure to do so with a huff to show her irritation that she needed to be called to remove this item from the register. She never once acknowledged me, just worked with such an attitude before she got on the phone and called the Service Desk. She then said, "Yeah, I need to have this item removed from this ladies total cause she aint got enough money on her EBT card...." ..........for those of you who do not know what that is, it is a state funded Benefits card for low income families. The couple behind me looked mortified! I think they were more embarrassed then I have ever seen a person. She made this statement with so much hatred and so loudly that the associate and customers on the OTHER side reacted too. As I proceeded to hand her my PNC Bank card, that I used, for my groceries, she paused, realizing what she had done, but without an apology whipped my card back at me and huffed off to the Customer Service desk to finish. I spoke with the Store Manager who had explained that the reason she made that statement is because she needed to verify the payment type. I asked if it made a difference considering I wasnt using that card. He stated that he would speak to her, while continuing to find a way to excuse her behavior. I will not shop at any Meijer any where in the world and have not now for over 2 years. You think the impact of one person doesnt matter, but it does. You are a consistent 14,000.00 down in food, 5,400.00 down in kitchen and house wares and roughly 350.00 down in bedding profits a year. That is one persons contribution gone for life. Too much competition to settle for being treated poorly because I am more brown then your higher respected customers. I will pass and give that money to a company who sees me.

I frequent this store a lot. It is my go to place for most items from grocery beauty health and some clothing and home goods. The store is always surprisingly well maintained for a busy store and the staff is always friendly. As of late, since it is the change of seasons for the new clothes, I like to brows and buy some new pieces for my wardrobe. So I head to the clothing and start to brows in my usual manner. Well this was not a very successful brows since they have now mixed all sizes together (from what I understand to not make anyone feel ostracized). Nice idea, not executed well. Because youre not gonna find anything over a 3x and they only seem to get in 1 of that size in each color and not all items come in all sizes. So what should have taken me a pleasurable 15 minutes and probably a purchase. I became irritated and nothing in my size but a handful of items strewn across the whole clothing section. Not much to pick from and hard to find. So to make everyone feel "happy" about their size, they group them all together and order fewer of the so called "plus sizes/womens". Not a win in my book. Need to get back the 4x and 5x and order more than 1-3x in each item. And no, 2 would not be enough either. Dont assume everyone is so mentally fragile.

This Meijer is a little smaller than some in the Southwest Ohio area. Despite that, the store is still clean and well maintained and you will most likely find what you need. Living in the area, I have been hear on many occasions. They seem to be about in line with Kroger on food prices. The negative is the lack of open registers. The self checkout systems seem to be down from time to time, and I am often stuck waiting on the more traditional checkout due to lack of cashiers. Here is a little tip, if you are facing the store, the left side is the grocery side, and the right side brings you in near the pharmacy. If you want to save yourself the walk, make sure you pick which side is best for you to enter. If you need something specific to Meijer, no problem going there. If you are looking for a quick trip, it might not be the place for you.

Im happy to say I always get good customer service every time I go to this location. I used to frequent the Walmart near by, but after stopping here once, I realized its worth the few extra bucks Id spend at Meijer if that means leaving the store satisfied. To be honest, this is probably one of the few stores Ive been to where people actually look happy to be working, and are friendly and happy to help. My only complaint are the bathroom stalls are wonky and make me feel a loss of privacy (with those big gaps on the door and all), also, the plants (near the Pharmacy) are usually half way dead, which is a shame.

Went there the other night to get a new battery for my car. The lady was very nice. When I went to give them my old battery to take off the extra $12 she didnt know how so she asks the manager. He was so rude and hateful to her I felt bad for her. She was very nice and just needed a little help remembering. He seems like he thought he was all that. Saying he wasnt going to do it for her and kept shaking his head at her. Its midnight dude. Ive been trying to find the right battery for 2 hours. I want to go home and you want to go home. My star is for the lady that did her best with us. Wish I knew her name.

I do like Meijer. However, it seems, just recently, as though their "sale prices" are not nearly as good anymore. Example: Snyders pretzels at Meijer yesterday were on sale for $2.50---Wal-Mart doesnt have sales in general, really. But on those exact same pretzels, they are always $2.50 at Wal-Mart! This has happened with many products at Meijer. Also, this particular Meijer is notorious for being completely out of the certain "good sale" items. That has been quite an inconvenience for me, as I assume it has for other shoppers as well.
