I had a fantastic experience with the owner and his store this last weekend in Cleveland. The trick for finding the great treasures in the Old Erie Street Bookstore is to visit the website, browse the books and records, and fill out the contact form to request viewing. I did that before I vacationed in Cleveland, got in contact with him by email, and he pulled out all the books I was interested in and opened the store for a personal consultation. As someone who values books and the thrill of a great find and read, I was so pleased to meet someone who still treasures books and records as much as he does. He was kind, helpful, and knew a lot about books and music. Not only was he helpful with the books in his store, but he also had great suggestions for books and music based on my interests. Well worth the adventure, and for people who love reading and music and people, I highly suggest that you check out this website and store. Thank you!!

The two reviewers that have posted are clearly perplexed because Old Eire Street has irregular hours. The stores listing on Abebooks, at least, says OPEN MOST AFTERNOONS AND BY APPOINTMENT. Check out the web site or maybe look things up on-line before firing off a poor review. Most rare book sellers dont run a retail storefront operation. Jeez.

I was looking forward to checkimg this out, but there are no posted hours. I went in the afternoon on a weekday, and the doors were locked, but lights on. A mystery!
