I love Fresh Market and have gone for years (and will continue to support them). I like the ease of being able to run in and get out quickly. Its not like the standard grocery shopping experience and feels inviting from the first step in the door. Unfortunately, lately, theyve taken to hiring workers that are not synonymous with the image theyre trying to project. Last Christmas they had to fire one of the men behind the meat counter because he botched a ton of orders. People were 3 deep at the meat counter and were so upset due to this imbecile. They told me "we cant find your order, to which I replied, "well Im not leaving until you hand me something". I walked out with my tenderloin but I have a feeling someone else did not. Totally unacceptable. This morning I was gathering ingredients for an appetizer for tonights party and decided Fresh Market would likely carry this particular gourmet item. The polite gentleman transferred me to a gal who claimed " I cant hear you but Ill go check". Okay? How can you check on an item if you didnt HEAR me? She comes back to the phone, tells me they have the item she couldnt HEAR me request and slammed the phone down! Do they know how many stores are in this area? Kroger just built a new beautiful market down the road! Hey Fresh Market, try hiring workers that actually possess the ability to communicate in an intelligent, articulate, polite, respectful manner.

Absolutely horrible customer service and staff. A friend and I came in and asked if we could try some samples from salad bar, they told us we could and before we knew it they were kicking us out for supposedly "shoplifting". At no point did anyone come over and ask anything or communicate at all, just complete rudeness disrespect from an apathetic bunch of sociopaths with with the faces of "I really wish I werent here right now". Even though the products were unique and enjoyable, the customer service just ruins everything.

Everyone there is super nice and helpful, and they can have amazing sales. While the food they offer is good, it can get expensive and there arent always options for people with food restrictions - although I feel like thats only because the store is smaller. It honestly feels like a neighborhood mom and pop grocery with an amazing wine and beer selection. I continue going there when I can, but I cant get everything I need because of my food restrictions unfortunately.

The store is so dark I cannot read the labels in the grocery aisles, cannot see what they are or the prices. The nutrional labels on the bulk items are printed on difficult to read tags and not included on the labels attached to the pre packaged containers. The deli staff frequently ignores me. The check out staff are ALWAYS nice and try to be helpful. Good cookies! Everything is expensive.

The best grocery store in the Oakley, Hyde Park, and Pleasant Ridge area. The Kroger stores in HP and Oakley are a stressful pain in the a** to get in and out of and Fresh Thyme, while better, is still in a busy area. Fresh Market has a very helpful staff, great selection and, most importantly to me, is a stress-free place to shop.

Fresh Market has a great butcher dept. Good red meat variety, chicken selections & seafood etc. The little big meals are really great and change weekly. The roastisteree meats in prepared foods are delicious. Easy to get in and of store if you arent distracted by the fresh flowers, coffee and beer/wine selections.

Kinda pricey, but usually good produce. I would give them more stars if they would stop replacing all their good pasta with egg noodles. My kid has an egg allergy and youve replaced all her fave pastas, including the heart-shaped veggie pasta, with egg noodles. Gotta shop elsewhere now :(

Great produce, excellent customer service. The strawberry rhubarb pie is heaven. I found the store to be flawless and that is where I shop when I am needing special foods, they are so much better than any other specialty food store. Their almonds in bulk are the absolute best!

I love this place! I go here to pick up individual meals, and they always have a great and tasty selection. The staff is very friendly and personable (not on auto-pilot). Calm environment, and easy to shop. Would recommend over other similar grocery stores.

So fancy! Its a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. Great quality products, thats the only place where Ive found the coffee brand that I like, intelligenzia. Love their store brand vinegar chips, and cookies.

High price, low wages is the fresh market way. Over half of the people from opening are gone. The wages were a joke, plus they forgot to pay what they had promised. Dont waste your money shop at Trader Joes.

Love their offerings here. Although a bit pricey at times they have a good selection of brands and also in-store prepared food items. Try their smoked salmon or any of the baked goods.

Deli foods have really gone down hill....lots of small bones in chicken salad, extremely over seasoned composed salads (broccoli slaw, edamame, orzo) to where is inedible.
