Decent enough place. Its somewhat pricey, but not unreasonably so for a co-op and certainly not as much as CVS. The draws are the produce/meat departments and that you can get staple foods *in Clifton*. On the whole the staff is pleasant enough. The downside is that there are some definite problems: delays in opening due to failing inspections, rumors of unpaid bills, dodgy contacts, etc. Ive found visibly molded packs of sealed lunchmeat in the cooler (which likely means either no ones regularly checking exp.dates or the equipment is failing). Ive yet to note anyone whos an actual manager, and Ive heard multiple accounts of people unable to ever find anyone in charge. For pure function Id like to give it a higher rating but Ive seen those red flags before, and it always ends with a rapid drop in quality and closure soon after.

This co-operative community market has it all! They have all the basic grocery needs: eggs, milk, bread, veggies, etc, but they also have a florist, bulk foods (you can even grind your own peanut butter!) and an INSANELY tempting bakery. Dont let looks deceive you; on the outside it looks a little small, but it is really large on the inside. They have the nicest employees to help out too. I live in the area, and it really helps that I can just walk down the street to pick up the things I need. Bear in mind, however, that because it isnt under any brand-name grocery chain, the prices can be steep!

Love this shareholder owned neighborhood grocery store!! There was a fantastic selection of produce!! Everything from kumquats to fresh snap peas and paypayas and fresh ginger and turmeric and (of course) three types of kale!! Everything you need and just a little bit more. A really fun mix of conventional foods and health foods, with options for pretty much everyone. I was really impressed by all of the deli counters and kind staff.

I go here at least 3 or 4 times a week. Most of the cashiers know me and will ask how Ive been and have real rapport with me, which is a wonderful feeling. Huge store that has everything I need. The only products that are more expensive than I would like are the vegetarian mock meats, so I do buy those at Kroger. Milk, bread, produce and dry goods I get exclusively from here!

The customer services is outstanding!!! I wanted to buy a pizza crust, but they were out. Sales person, Luke, creatively came up with the idea of getting it dough from the bakery and have the bakery person arrange it for me. I give Luke and the Clifton market a 5 out of 5. Most stores would have been like. Sorry we are out. Way to go Clifton Market.

The fresh produce, fruits, deli options, fish etc. are a welcome change to someone who mostly walks to get anywhere. Prices are steep occasionally and options are diverse and yet weirdly limited. But compared to the old options its a welcome addition to the neighborhood. Staff could use some work though but mostly nice yet seemingly inexperienced.

Great new local grocery store and continuing to get better as they grow. They tend carry lots if organic and natural food which isnt my cup of tea. However they also carry a lot of local food which is awesome. They have great meat and produce. However their boxed goods are significantly more expensive than someplace like kroger.

When the new Kroger opens this place is going to be obsolete. Cute that they brought back a grocery store here, not an ugly place and good friendly people and nice layout. But prices are simply way too high to make shopping here make sense when a new more appealing Kroger nearby with much lower prices will be put in.

Great little grocery store that is in an amazing location. They can be pricey compared to Kroger but the experience is just always so much better. Never too crowded, no lines and really great produce. Lots of the dairy alternatives as well. I stop in here constantly and always enjoyable.

A great new store. I love having the ability to shop at a local store rather than Kroger. My only hesitancy in giving this place a brighter rating is that it definitely caters to a more upscale crowd, which does not necessarily fit all of the surrounding area.

Great locally owned grocery store. Quality food. Most items have a great selection, a few are lacking sometimes but overall it is a great place to shop for either quick stops or full grocery runs. Excellent beer selection, lots of brands and crafts beers

Prices are roughly on par with Whole Foods or Trader Joes, but they carry more common brands and products as well. The selection is decent, and its certainly nice to have a fair-sized store within walking distance.

A one stop shop in the Clinton Gas Light District with organic options, a deli with fresh selections, a salad bar, sushi bar, wine selection, bakery and more. Friendly and helpful staff and store is open late.

Ive lived in Clifton for over 20 years. Kellers IGA closing several years ago was a big loss, however, Clifton Market is an incredible store in which to shop. It has an incredible selection of so much.

A blessing for Clifton, with great prices and fresh produce. Especially great for me, since I live nearby and can now make more frequent small trips to the store and just get what I need right now.

I read all the reviews and wanted to check it out. Am I missing something? They have all the brands which are available at Kroger at a cheaper price.

So happy to have the market back in action. The prices arent bad for an independent grocery. And so convenient for an already walkable neighborhood.

The map is wrong, but I think thats Googles fault. Clifton Market is an awesome community owned grocery store that is opening October 2016!

Limited choice of products at exorbitant, sometimes astronomical prices. And a bagger who placed my eggs at the bottom of my bag.
