My brother passed away and the funeral home is Dejohns, which is 3/10 of a mile away on Route 306 on the other side of Mayfield Rd from this florist. Google Maps says it is a 7 minute walk. I placed my order well in advance of my brothers wake, it was not a last minute deal. Theresa, who handled my order, told me she was only charging me $6.00 for delivery since the funeral home is so close to their shop. I wonder what kind of delivery vehicle they have. My car can travel 60 miles on $6 worth of gas. Seems like a steep delivery charge for less than a mile round trip from the shop to the funeral home and back to the shop. I wonder what their delivery charge is if they have to go more than a mile to make a delivery. Take advantage of the bereaved. Stick it to em. A nice gesture would have been to waive the delivery charge since they are so close. =====> OKAY, fast forward five months to February 2017. It is nearly Valentines day.... Red Rose Time, right? Now, my father has died and is being laid out at Dejohns funeral home in Chesterland. I call up and Cathy or Kathy takes my order and proceeds to tell me how many locales Dejohns has. I dont need a lecture on how many locales Dejohns has. My Mom was buried through Dejohns Chesterland and Willoughby Hills location this past July and I grew up in South Euclid and worked at that Dejohns location after school putting make up on the bodies. Sooooo, I really dont need to be told that Dejohns has more than one location. I AM CALLING YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE NEXT DOOR TO DEJOHNS IN CHESTERLAND! geeze, get with the program people! I proceed to order the RED ROSE ELEGANCE arrangement for $115.95 which is basically cut stem roses in a vase with a little bit of water and a few greens. If you read my fathers obituary on the Dejohns web site it says that my father grew roses as a hobby. So, I figure this is an apropos order. My in laws owned a florist business and we always had the obituaries in front of us in the shop, every day. When a funeral customer called our shop, we had all the details right in front of us to refer to as we processed the order through. I assume Chesterland Floral can go on Dejohns web site and find an obituary for one of their customers or my fathers obit is in the Cleveland Plain Dealer as well. Since my FATHER, brother and Mother have all died in the space of 7 months and been laid out at Dejohns in Chesterland, I have a myriad of things and details to handle. I have family coming in from out of state for the funeral for the third time in seven months. I have to find babysitters, and on and on and on. A few hours after placing my order I get a phone call from Theresa or Teresa. It turns out Teresa cant read Cathy Kathys handwriting! This is my problem, right??? Kathy has gone home for the day and Teresa cannot read Cathys handwriting. Is this any way to run a business? Who is on first base here? TERESA! Call Cathy Kathy at home and drag her arse back to work and have her decipher her handwriting, Teresa! dont call me! THIS IS NOT AND SHOULD NOT BE MY PROBLEM AND BURDENING A FUNERAL CUSTOMER THIS WAY IS BEYOND THE PALE. Teresa cannot read Cathys handwriting to process my credit card. GETTING YOUR MONEY IS PRETTY BASIC IN ANY BUSINESS LADIES! These girls (not grown women certainly) need to go back to school and take a remedial Business 101 course! Thank God my entire family is dead now and I wont have to do business here again!

My siblings and I had a very bad experience with Chesterland Floral last week. I called from out of town to order a flowering planter to be sent from the 3 of us to a local funeral home after the passing of a dear uncle. I spent several minutes on the phone and specified that we would like 1) something that is planted and can live on after the funeral, and 2) with flowers of blue and gold, which were the colors of my uncles college. We were terribly sad and disappointed when we saw that our carefully thought out tribute showed up as a vase of cut flowers, all red and white. This was a final tribute to our uncle and reflected what was important to him, and us, and it was completely wrong. I went to the florist after the funeral to tell them what happened. They seemed sympathetic but not overly, as I was told "I can only offer you $30 back", a refund of less than half of what we paid. I did not take it, as it was not the money that was the most important thing here. I would not recommend this florist at all.

No matter what the occasion Chesterland Floral is the perfect place for your flower needs! I went to CF to purchase flowers for my mothers funeral. Kathy (and her people) were incredibly kind and took the stress out of ordering the arrangements. The flowers were incredible - we even got many compliments on them; the price was right and it was as stress free as possible. I would recommend Chesterland Floral to anyone purchasing flowers. From a beautiful table top bouquet to a wedding party and anything in-between, Chesterland Floral is perfect.

I was very specific when ordering, but the arrangement was nothing like what I described (for example- I requested it be in a clear glass orb similar to a fishbowl, but it came in a short glazed hexagonal dish). Additionally, I clearly saw that the price written on the order was $22. She looked at the paper and then told me it would be $25, and finally my card was charged 26 something- I assume for tax, but at least tell me what Im paying before you swipe my card. Will not be ordering from here again.

4/30/16: I guess I can only blame myself for not opening the container which held the corsage I ordered for my sons prom date, and inspecting it thoroughly. Since it was ordered at the last minute, I did not expect it to be perfect, but come on...Velcro to attach the corsage to the wrist!?!?! How tacky!! A rubber band would have been better! I only hope the young lady doesnt feel slighted with such a cheap looking corsage! I will not be using your services again!

I used Chesterland Floral for my in-laws 5oth Wedding Anniversary in November. I ordered EVERYTHING two days prior to the 140 guest event...and I was so pleased. Not only were the corsages, bouts, bouquets absolutely exquisite, but the owner gave me a great deal. Wonderful to work with...fantastic prices...and personal attention to the customer...just like the old days! You have got to use Chesterland Floral...you will be glad you did.

Our favorite florist in the area. We live out of state in Florida and use Chesterland Floral for floral arrangements for our loved ones that are at a nearby cemetary. Kathy never fails to provide the quickest service, even when it is at the last minute. She personally delivers the flowers to the grave sites and takes a picture so we can see what they look like. That means so much when we are not able to do it ourselves!
