If I could give this place zero stars I would. I have shopped here several times with no issues but yesterday I was treated so rudely by the employees. Im a 23, almost 24 year old woman. I still wear some junior clothing, but mind you that I also own a business and have a lot of professional "Womens clothing". I also was getting ready to hit the gym after i had dropped off my clothes so I was wearing workout clothes.. Keep this in mind as I tell you my lovely experience. So anyways... I had three bags of clothes that I was planning on donating to goodwill, but obviously if I could make any money on them, it was worth a shot. So first I took my clothes to Platos right next door first. They found several items and paid me 32.00. Thanks Platos! So I still had several items left, so I went to clothes mentor. In my bags were all of my nice womens clothig.. nice dress pants, sweaters, dresses etc.... The lady behind the counter noticed the tape on my bags from Platos and asked if I had just come from there. So i said "yeah." and she quickly snapped at me that they "Only sell womens clothing and if you just came from platos then we wont be interested in anything you own" and then started rambling off several clothing brands they buy. I told her that there were a lot of nice clothes in my bag and that I dont only wear junior style clothing. And she quickly snapped at me again in a very nasty tone saying "I didnt say you dont have nice clothes we just dont buy anything juniors and we dont like when theyre mixed together, you need to separate them!" ...WOW. So i handed her my stuff and she asked if id wait in the store and I said yes. She said to look for my name on the board and no longer than 2 minutes later, I see my name written. They didnt even LOOK through my bags. I go up to see if they bought anything and I get a different lady. SHE TOO is super rude and tells me "This is ALL junior stuff, we dont want any of it, the only thing we can buy are these heels." Okay Lady.. because Im sure you ACTUALLY looked through my things in two minutes. At that point I just had to leave because it wasnt even worth getting into it with them. Just because Im younger looking and was wearing workout clothing and not all professionally dressed doesnt mean Im not a professional. I felt like Julia Roberts in pretty woman when the snobby store owners wouldnt serve her because of the way she was dressed. It sucks because I actually really like their clothes for the prices, but i will NOT be returning and I would recommend that nobody else does either if they want to be treated with respect.

Until today, I was a satisfied customer. I took a freshly dry-cleaned Calvin Klein Dress into the store. I purchased the dress less than two years ago, and wore it three times. Since it was a classic, "little black dress" in a size 24, I figured it would be a desired item for resale. Wrong. The woman who waited on me gave my dress a cursory glance, declared it to be "out season", and said they couldnt take it. When I pressed for details, she handed me off to another saleswoman who said they only take items that are less than two years old. I explained that the dress can still be found online, but to no avail. The clerk also found a miniscule spot on the bottom of the dress, and said they also couldnt take the dress because of the spot. I have shopped at this store for years, and have seen lesser-quality, worn-looking older items from Walmart, Target, and Kmart on their shelves every time I go in. This is not a high-end resale shop, but the clerk acted as if I was attempting to sell a worn, dirty, and outdated piece of clothing. She also questioned whether I had ever been in the store before: as if I was a new customer to the store - unfamiliar with "their" standards. I have spent much money in this store, but will not be going back. They didnt have to buy my item, but they left much to be desired in their demeanor and customer-appreciation behaviors.

I have purchased several items here, and most of them have been defective in some way. Unfortunately the defects were easy to overlook at first, but problematic soon after it was too late to return them. I inspect items from this location now more closely. As far as selection goes, it is usually a big miss. For a store that has a lot, there are a few needles in the haystack, but much if the selection is "off" in one way or another. As far as customer service goes, Ive felt both welcomed and dismissed in equal measure. I tried selling here and was given reasons why they refused my stuff. One was that they were faded. I said that I didnt see it. Then I was told they dont take juniors. It was xs but they sell xs small and it was from the womens section of a department store less than a year ago. Finally I was told that it was because similar items in their store simply arent moving as it is. That I can believe since I see the same items sitting in their racks all season.

I LOVE this store. I am so grateful for their free Personal Shopper service! I needed three new outfits with matching accessories for some upcoming events, and I couldnt have pulled it off without Mindy. She was sweet and professional the entire time, and came up with great outfits. I have always dreaded shopping, since I can never find anything for my body type, and Mindy made me feel very comfortable, and welcome. She didnt stop until I had found three outfits that I love, rather than three that I could accept. I cant recommend her and her service more.

I had the most horrible experience I will never go back lady was so rude telling at me because my 6 month old grand daughter stopped a few baby puffs on floor! Some lady says I will be back with broom and dust pan, I said ok then in mean time this other lady that worked there came up to me and yelled, is this your mess I said yes I was not able to speak she yells I WILL CLEAN IT UP, she said it so mean I started crying.

I absolutely LOVE this store! The one in Canton is bigger than the one in N. Olmsted but Ive never left either empty handed. I am a plus size woman and can find up to date, like new items at a fraction of the cost at the mall. Almost all my scrubs for work have come from the Canton store. I will continue to drive from Medina to shop at The Clothes Mentor.

As with any used clothing store, you really need to know your brands to determine what is a good value for the price. I felt their shoe selection was a bit overpriced for not great condition. Overall, while not my favorite consignment shop for selection or condition of clothes, you can get some great deals, and they do have excellent sales.

poor place i will never use it again. I have tried numerous times to sell clothes and books and they have not bought one item off of me. I refuse to shop there again and will not recommend it.
