I ordered a sofa and chair the end of May. I was told it would arrive in 2 weeks. I did not receive the furniture until August and it did not include the spring cushions I had ordered originally because the salesman Maurice did not put that information on the order but instead added a $50 pillow to the order. The spring cushions were ordered at no additional cost to me and arrived 2 weeks later. I also ordered a table and chair set. The first table I had would not close after it was open. I got a while different set. The 2nd table had a huge crack about 1 long and 6 screw holes underneath about 6 from the edge of the table where it had tried to be fixed. I received another table top and went to add the leaf in and it would not open. I went back and told the manager this. We agreed that if it could not be fixed that I could get my money back. When the tech arrived the table actual opened. I was surprised because it would not budge even when 2 men tried to pull it apart. The tech said it was probably the humidity that caused the wood to swell and I just needed to get friends to help me open and close the table a number of times to get it to work smoothly. I knew of additional options from talking to wood workers I know that would make the table open easier, the tech had never heard of the options that were given me (sanding and applying paraffin wax or minwax paste or Slideeze). Im still deciding if I want to keep it or get my money back. I should not have to do that much additional work to operate a brand new table properly. Ill notify the manager later this week of my decision. Customer service is good as the manager bent over backward to accommodate me, but the table quality is really bad. The 4 delivery men that had come to my home were very rude and let me know that they were only paid to deliver furniture and that they were only paid by per delivery as independent contractors and that removing the staples from under the table was not part of the job. The 2nd fellow was mad that he had to remove a table and bring in another one and that I wanted the 2nd table delivered even though my sofa and chair was not finished yet. He let me know in very clear language that he did not want to do it. The legs were also put on backwards.

2 experiences both bad. First was just bad luck that a couch was damaged on delivery and walls damaged. Walls were fixed by ashleys and the couch was replaced (after 6 months of waiting for repair parts). Not big damage ether, just a slight rip it in the leather. Second couch was in perfect condition so I was happy. I figured it was bad luck the first time since it ended well, so I tried again. Since my first purchase ~1 year ago, they have hired a new "contractor for delivery. The guy sounds like a slum owner, had 2 delivery guys with 6 days of experience total (2days+4days). Theyre over worked and treated badly. This was an awful experience, they didnt know what they were doing, they tried to be nice but they were obviously tired. Every piece of furniture came damaged. Some looked to be damaged in moving, some looked to be damaged at factory. Nothing was boxed it was all partially covered by blankets. My order this time was messed up so I just didnt get a nightstand... I called them and now (even though I paid for it and it was in stock) its backordered who knows how long? WOW I mean this has been horrible. I unfortunately purchased a couch & more furniture from unclaimed freight which is a part of Ashleys so Im not expecting anything better but I will update once I get it. Update: I called in and really complained nicely, and kept calling different people FINALLY someone told me the trick, request the "In house delivery truck" to the delivery center and talk to Caleb or Aaron at the warehouse. They delivered a couch and dining room set with no issues except for one chair had no arms, but I will be getting the correct chair Wed. Upgraded this to Its OKAY because out of 10k spent only 3k had problems, so if a child should get a C for 70% I figure a business should as well.

Worst customer service I have ever received!!! I along with another family member purchased two sectionals from Furniture Mart. At the time of purchase we were told delivery would occur within two weeks and the product would be shipped up from Sioux Falls. A day before the scheduled delivery, we received a call stating the furniture delivery would be delayed an additional two weeks because of winter storms in Colorado, although we were told the furniture would be coming from Sioux Falls!! Waited another two weeks and receive another call delaying delivery for another week; however, the salesman agreed to credit us $150 for the inconvenience. The sectional is finally delivered...but it is a slightly similar, cheaper different brand (Were they hoping we wouldnt notice so theyd make more on the couch?). Contact the store and they apologized for the incorrect shipment and stated that the salesman changed the order. They agreed to ship the right sectional out and pick up the wrong one but stated they could not credit us the $150 the salesman promised because the salesman was not authorized to do that...Sectional Canceled. The other sectional my family member purchased was suppose to have free delivery, but the store manager stated that the salesman was not authorized to give free delivery and they would have to pay extra money to receive the sectional...Sectional Canceled. Absolutely horrible customer service and the company does not stand behind their word. Do not trust this store!!!

Over the years my husband and I have purchased many different pieces of furniture at The Furniture Mart in West Fargo so when I needed to furnish a room for my mother in a local memory care facility, without hesitation I returned to them. As I entered the store I was greeted by an incredibly happy and helpful young lady named Kayla Smith who quickly became my personal furniture consultant!! As we worked together to find a bed, nightstand, chest of drawers, bookshelf, loveseat, recliner, side table, lamps AND bedding she moved around the store with ease and knowledge, locating each of the pieces of furniture I needed. We even moved a few of them around so I could see how they looked together - she must have walked a few miles carrying a pillow here, a lamp there and locating the perfect side table!! I will always be grateful for her help that day - she made what could have been a difficult job, so much easier for me. She was patient, kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in helping me make the small room my mother will now live in the very best home it can be - and for that I will always be grateful!! Thank you Kayla - you are a very special young lady and The Furniture Mart is lucky to have you!!

The store itself is nice, with great selection and good prices. However, we were told that 2 chairs would be a 6-week turnaround, which is "the best in the industry". Our salesperson was Alex. 8 weeks later, I called to see what the status was. He didnt know, and said he would call back. I called HIM back 2 days later to find out they were still a few states away. 2 more weeks go by and he said theyd be in (of course, 99%). They didnt come. To his/FMs credit, they did at that point offer to deliver the other piece we had ordered for free (we were waiting to consolidate the deliveries). 8 more days went by - radio silence on the chairs. I called and he said they are in Fargo. I asked how long theyd been there, and he avoided the answer. They couldnt schedule the delivery until 6 days later. Thus, Ill be getting an order that was supposes to take 6 weeks in just under 12. Alex is extremely polite and professional when we talk, but I found myself needing to call to get answers versus he (or anyone at FM) following up on an order that was so clearly past-due. Love the selection and prices - extremely disappointed with post-sale service.
