What can I say about yellow dog discs, its a great place. Ive been shopping with them for over 7 years now. Throughout the city of Wilmington you just wont find selection like they have. When it comes to CDs you wont find a bigger selection in the city, especially now that best buy has decided to do away with them and gravity doesnt ever seem to get new product but once a year.....seriously, how does gravity stay open???...anyway, the prices on the CDs are equally as great, most around 5.99. With a wide selection of metal, rock, r&b, jazz, blues, country, etc. you can always find something youre looking for and if you cant theyll order it for you new or used!! Their movie selection isnt packing either, DVD or blu-ray. Best prices in the city, no question. And vinyl folk, youre in for a real treat when going to yellow dog, if you cant find something then you just arent looking, they have thousands of records from all different kinds of genres and to top it off they have gotten into new vinyl, so if your favorite artist is releasing a new album m you want it on vinyl, just shoot yellow dog a message and theyll have it for you that Thursday or the following Tuesday depending on when its released. Gamers, feel safe shopping at a place thats just as anal about quality as you are. Everything is in great shape and will absolutely work. The prices can very, but thats to be expected when dealing with collectibles. They are going to be based on collector values or current market value, which is fine, dont forget they are a business dont expect flea market prices. But you dont have to deal with ebay and the quality is there. They have a few different services like fixing 64 controllers and systems, so being those by if they need a little repairing. So how can it get any better? The services they offer, like cleaning discs. Best. Service. Ever! Seriously we have all ruined discs. well they can bring them back from he dead unless they are cracked or they have holes. But any scratches beware, yellow dog has your number. Im glad yellow dog is still around, places like them are few in number and we are lucky to have them.

Very very horrible service, the games are overpriced, theres hardly any variety in music and movies and the employees are less than mentionable when it comes to a "Welcoming Environment." If youre selling anything on craigslist or Ebay and you cant get a purchase and want to get a quick sell, do NOT go to Yellow Dog Discs due to the fact I had just brought in records and when he asked if I was posted on craigslist he abruptly and rudely told me he didnt want any of my records with absolutely no reasoning behind it. Overall Yellow Dog Discs is a horrible establishment and the best service they might be able to provide is fixing a slightly scratchy disc.

I have only gone in for their vinyls but have had all pleasant experiences. The prices on the records are absolutely fair! better then gravity records prices! they make it easy to find what you are looking for and they can always look-up their inventory if you know what you are looking for. they will order, hold and update on face book new arrivals. My second time in the store a clerk remembered me and the album I had asked about my previous visit, he had just got the record in and handed it right to me!

After a disappointing experience at another used record store in Wilmington, NC, found this place and walked out with 2 45rpms and a vinyl record at a very pleasing price. Wish they had more of a selection of LP vinyl, but sort of made up for the amount of 45rpms, which they had more than just one of my group. But a surprise for at least having something.

I love going here for records, the staff knows what I like and always have good suggestions for me on the new and updated stock. This is also a good place to by video games and movies, they have a great selection of both, this includes vintage games. Great staff and good selection and dont forget to say hi to Rusty.

This is easily the best record store in Wilmington. They have a very large selection of vinyl, CDs, DVDs, and video games. Their prices are also much more reasonable than the other record shops in town. Their staff is also very polite and helpful. Definitely worth stopping by.

Unfriendly and overpriced "Hello, let me know if we can help you with anything." Thats all it takes. Even if the prices are exaggerated, Im the kind of person that will buy something anyways if the shopkeepers are pleasant. But since they werent, I took my money downtown!

I used to come here when I was younger and I didnt remember it being so nice. The organization can be a little bit confusing, but those sick prices on CDs and friendly employees override that.
