Poor quality new employees who know nothing about the products. Visited the Wilmington NC store four times and could not find anyone who knew anything about the products or their appkications. Finally was told my online order was in and made a long trip only to find out it was not there. This is a great example of what happens when a manager tries to balance costs by hiring cheap t-shirt shop folks to do business in a technical market and when a company does not have any real competition. We need a real marine supply store in Wilmington!

First of all I am from Savannah ,ga staying overnight in wilmington. I Could not find a bulb for my dive light before I left I called west marine from a Google search. OMG. Amazing service. She did not have it in stock but offered to call around to find it. About 15 minutes later she called me back with a name to get the bulb she went above the call of duty

This is my go to store for boating needs when I cannot cannot wait for an on line order to arrive. They have a great selection but they are very pricey. I use the convenience store approach when buying from them.

Check online before you go. Generally, you can order anything online and have it delivered to the store for free. As to hardware, if they dont have what you need, go across the street to Craft Hardware.

They have a decent selection of things for boating. Some of their help is knowledgeable, others make it up, on the fly. Best to go in knowing exactly what you need.

staff is very nice but service suck order me bimini top for my boat a month ago after 2 weeks I have received the canvas top put 2 weeks after that and still no frame
