DONT BE SCREWED BY PLAY IT AGAIN SPORTS. Well to start off I called play it again sports, and I told them that I had some bikes water sports equipment and some gym equipment. I explained to them that I lived almost an hour away and that I didnt have the money to ride down there without knowing if they would buy from me . Too witch the man on the phone replied that they would buy any sports equipment, and that I should clean out my garage of sports equipment and head on down to his shop on south college in Wilmington. Once I arrived he walked out to meet me and look at what I had. He asked me to bring it all in once I did he preceded to tell me that he could only pay me for $10.00 my gazelle exercise machine with heart rate checker and two skim boards. Then he preceded to tell me that he could only take my wakeboard on consignment. Now the bikes are what got to me the most, I took 4 of them two cross-country bikes a Raleigh and a aerospace that when I bought them they were both bought for $600 and some change and thats not together, I also took a bmx freestyle ultra lite bike that was over $300 and a little girls standard huffy bike. The man preceded to tell me that his bike mechanic would not be in till the next day and he would not offer me anything for them till the mechanic had a chance to look over them. Sense I had already gone that far I had no other option but to sell the gazelle and the skim boards for the measly $10.00 they offered so that I could make it home. I was told that after the bike mechanic looked over the bikes that they would mail me a check so I wouldnt have to make the trip a second time. Well the next day I was called by the mechanic and told that they would pay $8.00 for the huffy $5.00 for the bmx and that he would take the 2 cross-country as donations and that he would fix them for his personal bikes that they were unrideable yet I rode both of them around there parking lot and then into there store, all the gears changed the tires had air in them and the brakes would stop u on a dime yet the mechanic said they were no good and he couldnt pay me for them but he would like to keep them for his self. I told him no deal and he said that they would hold them for 3 weeks till I had a chance to make it back to Wilmington, not even a week later I get a call from play it again sports and I was informed that if I didnt come back by Monday that they would take the bikes as a donation and give me $6.00 for store credit. Once I arrived I sow the same bmx freestyle ultra lite in front of there store for $200.00 were I was only offered $5.00 for mine, then I was told that a deal had been made on the bikes and I could not have them back, but after a heated conversation they gave the bikes back. So now Im wrighting this to inform all those who would like to try play it again sports DONT RUN AWAY ITS NOT WORTH THE BS all they want is to screw there customers and I will never have any business with them, and if u do your a fool.

I recently wanted to sell a junior set of golf clubs and a golf bag. I went to a pawn shop to see if they were interested in the set, but the store wasnt interested. So, then I think, "Hey, that Play-It-Again store in town buys used golf clubs. Ill try them." I called the store to ask if they were interested junior golf clubs and a golf bag. The gentleman on the phone said they were interested. I drive to the store and show them the goods. One of the workers takes a look at it and wants to check the stock. He checks the stock and then comes back to me and says they have five sets and mine was too old and says they are not interested. What a crock.

Prices arent as low as you would expect for used equipment. Was in there specifically for golf related equipment. Ended up buying some golf pride grips brand-new which they did take a dollar off of each and bought some refurbished Titleist Pro VI golf balls

The staff at this store is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I needed a new set of irons, a golf bag, and a few golf balls. I was setup with everything I needed and left spending well under my budget. I will be back in the future!

Tried to sell hockey equipment twice and was told the first time to wait until November to bring it down to sell, well guess what its November and lown and behold Im told no again. This place is a disaster and an epic failure!
