What a great store!! Weve been in need of a used book store in Raleigh for some time! They have a phenomenal selection. Even though Kindle books are popular, I dont like reading online. I like have a physical book in my hand! My son loved the story time they have twice a month. I like how its a family run small business. Im happy to support them and Im looking forward to going back!

The Book Bar delivers vintage pleasures in spades—good books, free coffee, comfy chairs, a quiet place to read. Prices are agreeable here too; even new DVDs go for $5. The owner is an obvious book lover and finds stuff for me like some archival librarian out of a LeCarre novel. I thought places like this were extinct. I’m so glad I was wrong.

I absolutely love this store! I can always find great books at the best prices, and another great fact is that they have something for everyone. The owner is nice, helpful, and very knowledgable which makes for an even greater book finding experience!

Friendly owner, like the library feel, cute kids corner, and coffee corner. Unique selection of used books at good prices, and very supportive of local authors. Something for everyone!

Great local bookstore. James, the owner, is always ready with a recommendation and even put a book aside for me that he knew I would enjoy. Thats hard to find at other bookstores

the rating is mostly due to a bad experience with customer service. Does not have much of a selection of books and are way overpriced compared to Ed Mckay, Mr. Mikes.
