I love the fact that they give you credit for what the book would sell for now, even if the book is 20 years old. That is a very nice policy. At first, I was a bit put off that they only provide store credit, and the store credit is only for 1/2 of the cost of the books you are buying; however, on further thought... this is a reasonable approach, and is clearly necessary to stay in business. Now, I visit the other used bookstores once per year "just to look"... but do all of my weekly buying at Falls River Books.

I love this store!!! The staff is very helpful and they have just about every books imaginable and the atmosphere is so friendly. Plus have coffee and arm chairs so you can get warm and snuggle up to a good book. They also have a people friendly cat that I just adore! Id give them ten stars if I could, so I highly recommand this store to anyone who loves books and good deals and prices. -Matheiu

New Ownership. New Young staff, not very well read and spent time just talking to her girlfriend ignoring customers. Store is cleaner but prices are the highest of all the used bookstores in Raleigh. Quality of the inventory has slipped. Would not refer a friend or shop here. Its a shame.

GREAT BOOK STORE!! I dropped off some books at Falls River Books and they gave me a generous amount in trade credit. I was able to find several books on my list and the woman working was helpful and knowledgeable. I am definitively coming back

Went to find some history books and the fellow working was very rude and arrogant. He was also yelling at his employees for no reason. Also did not ever find the books I needed. Would not recommend anyone to shop at this store.

Have never had a bad experience walking in the door. Always gretted with a smile, a warm cup of coffee, and great conversation. The book selection is outstanding. I wont shop for books anywhere else.

Staff is always super friendly. Been going there for years and have never been disappointed. Selection may not be as big as others, but the service is amazing. Always a pleasure shopping there.

A great selection. The owner is knowledgeable and able to help you find what you are looking for. There arent a lot of bargains, but the books are of high quality.

New ownership and new High School inexperienced staff. Books are way overpriced compared to Ed Mckay, Readers Corner and Mr. Mikes. Rude Service.

Unknowledgeable sellers in a store with such potential is a travesty. I would rather go to Barnes and Noble!
