I am not generally a fan of Food Lions. This one, however, is excellent. They are always very well staffed (at least during vacation season) so that even if it is crowded it does not take forever to check out. The store is clean and offers a good selection of products. Their beer selection is very good; I was surprised to see some uncommon craft brews available.

We came in a crowd, lots of kids ,full of energy and the staff was still smiling , freindly, and made us feel welcome , thanks to all ,I know how hectic it can be and all the staff remained kind , produce was fresh too,35 years of holden beach ,we still love it thank you food lion

All signs say open all night, web page for Foodlion says open all night. Yet with a store full of customers at every register, they stand outside in groups by the front of the doors and very rudely turn people away saying they are closed.

Very expensive. Not friendly people, and dont have things I love that other food lion carry. Disappointed in selection of food. Want more whole food and bakery selections. It is only grocery store in holden beach. Step ur game up!

Not enough cashiers, slow, great that its open 24 hours, not the worst food lion I have been in but not the best. Shallotte and Sunset Beach locations are better. I used to work for food lion so I know how things go.

I thought that this store had a very good selection considering the location. The lines were very short, and the staff were friendly as well. I would recommend this grocery store. Not that theres another one around.

I always stop here for food on the way in and Im back every day for beer, drinks, ice...they even have beach supplies. Sunscreen, sand buckets, snacks. Ive even got flip flops here!

Convenient grocery store for Holden Beach guests who dont want to drive all the way to Shallotte. Its not a huge store, so it wont have everything, but it has the essentials.

This store is close to us. Much better than a convenience store. Wide variety of food items, bakery items and they staff is taught how to smile when they wait on you.

Doesnt always honor advertised price. Whether the price is correct or not, you should honor it first then remove it if it is incorrectly marked.
