I go out of my way to go to Earth Fare and was delighted to find an Earth Fare in Greensboro. Their prices are high but it is worth it for the quality. Since I have been going to the Earth Fare here I have noticed some issues. The hot bar area needs refreshing more often or the items need to be removed from the bar once they begin to dry out. There is a need to increase cleanliness at the food bars. The hot soups have been the same type for almost two weeks and although the soups in the cold section are good I found a thread in the Curry Thia soup, which increased the feeling that the food area really needs attention. I am in the store often and some of the displays are either empty or missing items and have been for over a week For some reason, which I can kind of understand, they now have two entrances with only one exit. One of the entrances is very close to the produce and perhaps they are afraid that their clientele are going to take produce without paying? Whatever the reason they have chosen to inconvenience their customers, and Im wondering about the safety of this decision. There is a general feeling that Earth Fare in Greensboro need more employees and that this great business needs more attention from the employees it does have.

My experience is always pleasant until I enter the food service dept . I go to earth fare at least 4x a week and usually twice on each day and I Must say the assistant food service manager (Nikki)is very rude . She never smiles and most importantly she always very short when I have questions about certain items in the bakery or when she has to make a juice. Courtney I believe is the other manager she is just as rude but a Lil more people friendly I just dont understand how people can be rude to customers yet along everyday customers. Now the staff isnt much better its one guy who has a beard who always greets me hes the African American gentlemen who always wear a beard guard hes extremely nice he makes my fiancé and I feel very welcome along with Alex the cook but as far as the quality of the food and cleanliness I would have to give the store a b- c+ its been a few times Ive seen roaches crawling on the floor but never near the food or salad bar best time to eat the hot bar is from 11-3 and best time for pizza is before 6 once 730 rolls around customer service disappears

Once diagnosed with colitis (similar to Chrons disease), I could not figure out what it was, but I kept getting sicker, even with medicine. I then tried a "wholistic" doctor that recommended taking just about everything out of my diet & slowly introduce things back (in an organized fashion). Turns out that I needed to virtually eliminate wheat flour from my diet (try it - its almost impossible). Earth Fare has a plethora of options for me, and the food tastes BETTER than any Ive ever had. The prices arent as bad as you might think. Actually much of their bulk items (per pound), such as nuts and flours, are cheaper than what you pay even in Wal-mart, not to mention healthier. You can even grind your own natural peanut butter on site!

Their store is very nicely laid out, they have a great selection of cheeses, a nice selection of wines, the fresh food is carefully handled, and both produce and meats are always in perfect condition. Their foods are immaculately clean, fresh, and the majority of everything they offer is organic. It is well worth it to me to pay their prices, their fine-quality food really is a case of "you get what you pay for." Im glad to have the choice to spend money on delicious meals instead of spending money on trips to the doctor.

3.5(ish) I used to love Earth Fare, but if you look closer its not all what it used to be. They recently over the last year or so, have been compromising their own "mission" with poor quality brands and some of which that are not even organic, as well as slowly moving away from the gmo free gig. They still carry many good items, but every time I go, I find more super mass produce trash items on the shelves... Quality and integrity are dropping... So I find myself at Deep Roots (co-op down town Greensboro) more than ever.

Their sanatation grade is a glorified B at a 90. Talked to the manager about this and said that he was having the store reinspected in 2 weeks. This was in August and still at the end of December still a 90 sanatation grade. Only buy prepackaged good. They are a very DIRTY store. As of 1-14-2017 they have hidden the sanatation grade from in plain view to a low and out of view area. Had to search for this grade still a 90. This is very disappointing for a upscale grocery store.

I finally drove down to Earth Fare from Chatham, VA. I have a friend who shops here regularly, and has urged me to come here for a while. Everything was fresh, the store has a great lay out, and its very well stocked. Definitely a place Ill go back to, especially for the produce! My one small "ping" is that the meat/fish section is merely adequate; high quality, yes, but a very limited selection - I really would have loved to come home with some swordfish for the grill!

earthfaire is usually a good place to shop. But they have been getting sloppy lately. Frozen foods with mold on them, and grape leaves so hard they taste like cheese? (Yes, I had got both of these on my last visit to the grocery store). They should throw away their old stuff. Not just sell them. Im also surprised at how much unhealthy stuff they sell - things with canola, sugar, and probably GM soy oil in them. About as pricey as harris teeter if not more so...

Earth Fare has great produce and meats at generally better prices than HT and the other local chains. I particularly appreciate the cheese and bulk food areas. Plus there are a lot of healthy snack options. Lastly, the prepared foods section is impressive. One are of improvement would be a larger bread/bakery section. Overall, the store and personnel are excellent. Earth Fare is serves everyones needs as it is much more than just an organic grocer.

2965 Battleground Avenue Enjoy lunch in the same place you find fresh produce, dairy and more. THUMBS WAY UP! This is a quite market that most people that live in Greensboro skip over due to the plaza it is located in. Once you visit, you will keep going again and again. Great selection of organic and natural herbs and remedies. Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable of products. The sushi is amazing! Great prices! I will be dining here again!

I agree with the previous review. The employees are not well trained and often have a poor attitude. The store is otherwise quite good, carrying all the best food and bath/body products....with ONE exception. The meat is BAD. The quality of the (local) beef is quite poor and often times many things are not fresh. Stay away from the meat - Whole Foods and Fresh Market are far superior.

I love this place - I do wish they would keep their Kombucha in stock better :) The Gingerberry is the best!!! It would also be great if they could start making RAW foods in shop. They would do really well with that. Just like the ones they carry in the store (in the back right on the end cap around the corner from the Charlies Soap)! Keep doin what your doin :) you guys rock!
